Chapter 13

One month later

It's been a month now and I have barely seen Lana at all. She spends all her time with Rusev now. She practically lives at his apartment and they are always going out to sports games together. I know that she is cheating on me with him.

I've tried not to think about it too much and I keep myself busy with the training Jay has me do. I fight who ever he tells me to and I don't complain at all.

This morning I decided to take the morning off to take care of something that needs to be done. I text Lana.

Me: Meet at the beach this is really important

Lana: ok

I drive to the beach and wait for her there. She shows up a few minutes laters. "Hey Cora what's up?" She asked. I don't say anything. I just start walking along the beach and she follows me. I finally speak up. "I know you have been cheating on me with Rusev for a while now. So I want to break up with you so that you can finally be free to be with him." I said as I hold back my tears. "Cora I-" she started to say. "No please don't." I say. I run to my car and get in driving away. Tears fall down my face as I drive. My relationship started at a beach and now it ended at one.

I get to the performance center. I go in and see Jay. I get in the ring. I don't look at him or talk to him. He is about to come over to me when my dad calls him to his office. Jay goes into dad's office. I sit and wait.

When Jay comes out he tells me that my dad wants Jay to take me to the bad part of Cincinnati to train me there. I don't want to go but maybe getting away would be good. "Ok." Is all I said. I do my training and go home. I shower and go to my bed falling asleep.
