"Castiel! You giant asshat! You turd muffin! You...you...you beautiful, lovely, delicious, annoying angel you!" I squeal dramatically into the pillow.

My long curly black hair splays like a halo all over my pillow as I hunch over.

A knock on the door makes my head snap up, flinging my hair back. Quickly, I attempt to straighten myself up before stuttering a meek "C-come in."

Sam smiles gently at me, almost instantly putting me at ease. I can't help but let a little smile slip.

"I heard you...umm...screaming." He huffs, amused.

"Yea. I was...am a bit frustrated." I say, crossing my legs.

"Your hair is messy." Sam chuckles as he moves closer to sit beside me. I blush deeply, attempting to smooth the wild curls.

"No, no. It looks fine! You look fine." He says defensively, taking hold of my wrists.

"I usually keep it straight..." I mumble. Sam gives me a long, strange look. I can't quite place the emotion I'm seeing on his face. It looks a bit like concern and disappointment. My fingers begin to pick at the blanket on the bed.

"I just wanted to come and explain the situation more clearly before we leave tomorrow." He has a way of looking like the sweetest child, yet I have heard of the pain he's been through.

"Oh, yea, thank you." I mumble.

Sam starts at the beginning. Explaining to me how it all began and where it was all supposed to go. I witness his face go from smiling, to angry, to broken, to kind, to fierce and even to the saddest most heart breaking look I have ever seen. My mind can't wrap around the fact that this man, who has seen and done things that would cause others to go insane, can still see the light in the world. He can still see something worth fighting for.

"So, here we are." He says softly.

"I lost my family to Lilith and now she is trying to destroy more families on a global scale." I hiss. Sam looks over at me. I feel the need to open up to him. His deep brown eyes bring forth the memories in my head.

"Do you, I don't know, want to talk about it?" He pouts at me, giving me puppy dog eyes. I can't help but smile.

" I was too young to really remember. But I remember white demon eyes and blood. A man, who just happened to be hunting what he thought was a regular demon, was in town and heard the screaming from the park. According to him, the demon was taking her sweet time killing my family. Leo, the man, couldn't save my parents but he did find me hidden in the red tube under the play ground. I still remember the blood-soaked snow. Leo felt like he had to take me then because the demon would probably come back to finish the job. For some reason he never really explained, he took me as his protege. Though, he was never a father. He was more of a drill sergeant.

"He would drop me off at Bobby's when I was too young to go on hunts. Bobby would teach me as much as he could and lull me to sleep with stories of your father. When I was 16, I went on a hunt with your dad, very much by accident. I learned a lot in those few weeks from my hero, your father. After him, I started hearing stories about you. The Winchester boys." I pause to chuckle.

"Damn. You guys have me something to aspire to. Family was always so important. During my travels I discovered the demon was Lilith, but I just thought she was like any other demon. And now, now I'm going to help you. Now, maybe, I can be part of my dream family."

"Your dream family?" He asks, tilting his head questioningly.

"To have people in your life who would die for you? Never abandon you? Not treat you like you're just a machine. Who don't yell or beat you for the smallest mistakes..."I trail off, clenching my fist tightly in anger.

Sam lays his hand gently on my shoulder.

"Hey. You became family the moment you fought with us over who's the best actor." He smiles knowingly.

"Thanks." I say, beaming up at him. He gives me one more side long glance as he makes his way to the door, leaving me to pack up what little I had. Wow, the Winchesters extremely easy to talk to.
