I giggle as a wet feeling rubs against my cheek and tickles me."Stahp it!" I manage to say around my giggling fit. I open my eyes to see Naomi is lapping her little tongue on my cheek. I pet her between her small, sleek black ears and she purs loudly. I look to my right to see morning light peek through my black curtains and I smile. Finally. Morning. I open my mouth wide in an awakening yawn and I stretch my arms high above my head. Luna jumps off from ontop of my chest and allows me to get up from my bed, the covers being thrown aside in the process. I look at how the sheets are folded messily over one another and the covers are as untidy as ever. The covers being all over the place.. Uck. I reset my bed, placing the covers and sheets right after putting the pillows in the correct position. After I am satisfied with my bed, I go out to my kitchen, not thinking twice before mindlessly shutting the bedroom door behind me. I absentmindedly wave hello to Scarlet, who is sitting at the island on a bar stool I got from the night club I work at occasionally when I need extra money in my pockets. I start making mix for waffles when I feel someone's hands wrap around my waist and hug me from behind. Awe... "Scarlet... I am cooking.." I chuckle, happy that I got hugged. "Where did your kitty ears go, neko-girl?" Jeffrey asks in his creamy voice. I freeze from mixing the batter in a bowl and look at him slowly. I glare at him after a moment. "Get. Off. Of. Me. You. Freaking. Perv." I growl between gritted teeth. He backs away with his hands up. "Okay, okay..." He says softly. I smirk at how easily I scare him. "I woke up like this." I say, figuring I should tell him at least something for once. Then I realise he is STILL a stranger. "Get out of my house. I let you crash, now get." I cross my arms at him. He sighs and does as I said without complaint, which earns a bewildered look from me. I watch him leave from the back door and I go back to whisking batter. "What was that about, Nico-Ni?" Scarlet pipes up. I shrug. "He needed a place to crash and I was too tired to get in a fight with him, so I let him stay here for the night." I shrug my shoulders again. "Nothing really." She giggles girlishly. Uck.. giggling.. "No silly, I mean about the cat thing. What was that about?" She says. I stop mixing ingredients and glare at the bowl. "..It was a joke between us two. You would not get it." I say. If I were to tell her about the cat thing, she would not believe me... Luna is still in my room.. I mumble to myself in my mind. She makes a sound as if she does not quite believe me, but I decide to ignore it. I pour some batter into the stainless steel nonstick silver waffle iron. I hear the sizzle of baking batter as I close the iron. I look at my little sister, admiring her for her straight blonde hair. I would never be able to pull off blonde hair like her... I'm too japanese.. I envy her for her perfect hair. But her self esteem and confidence was sky high because of that hair. I do not like it one bit. She throws herself at anybody she can get her hands on. I hate that about her. Otherwise, I love her to death. I sigh softly to myself and look at the back door longingly, wishing that this was all just an odd forgotten dream...
