"Mom, I'll be fine. Just drop me off. Okay?" I said, her nervously looking over at me from her drivers seat. God, she over-reacts so much.
"Alright, just make sure to bring your inhaler. You never know." You see, what hardly anyone knows about me is that I have asthma. Only Sam knows this. Ever since the "accident", my asthma has been getting worse.
"Thanks for driving me Mom, see you later!" and I hopped out of the car and walked right in that door.
The whole room smelled like pizza and grease, and the air was being filled with chatter. Adam, Ty, and Sam were already at a table, waving me over.
"Hey guys, what's up?" I said, my purse slung over my seat.
"Not much, other than waiting for you." said Ty. The others already had their drinks, but thankfully the lady serving us came by to ask what I wanted.
"Mountain dew please." I said. We had decieded to order a large pizza to share, cheese to be specific.
When the pizza arrived, we all got each other a slice and I took a bite into the heavenly food. Sam was devouring it so fast she practicly ate 5 slices of greasy goodness in 5 minutes.
"I'd slow down if I were you," I said to Sam. "People are starting to stare."
Sam glanced up from her meal and looked around at the people, all looking at her cheese and tomato sause covered face. Her cheeks flushed red and she sunk low into her chair, wiping her face with a napkin and chewing the food in her mouth slowly.
The other three of us looked at each other, and then burst out laughing. At first, Sam just glared at us, but eventually, she had to laugh along with us.
By the time we had all finished, we were retelling stories of our childhood and I was getting a little nostalgic over sone of them. But hey! I told myself, We're all together now, and thats what matters.
On the ride home, Adam turned on my favorite radio station. Then-
"EVERYONE QUIET! THIS IS MAH SONG!" I screamed, scrambling to clamp my hands over Sam and Ty's mouths, but not Adams, he was driving.
Adam's POV
I laughed as in he rear-view mirrors I saw Alex trying to silence Sam and Ty. She obviously loved this song.
"I had a dream so big and loud
I jumped so high I touched the clouds

I stretched my hands out to the sky
We danced with monsters through the night

Her eyes were closed, and her voice was crystal clear, like an angel's. Her braid fell perfectly on her shoulder and she smiled as she sang, revealing her perfect white teeth, whom had obviously seen braces at an earlier period in her life.
"I'm never gonna look back
Woah, never gonna give it up
No, please don't wake me now"
By this time, Sam seemed to be tapping her feet and looking at Alex, smiling and nodding her head, she was enjoying this as well. Ty seemed to be looking back at them, and probably smiling judging by the mood in this small car.
"Oo-o-o-o-oo
This is gonna be the best day of my li-ife
