High school parties, Topaz loved them, She loved the gossip that spilled from drunken students, the awkward tension of sober, hormonal teens dancing with their drunk best friends, and she loved that now, she could take her pet to one of them.

"La-La you need a new name, people are gonna think that your name is uber weird."

"I don't need a 'New Name'" She shook her head, using quotations. Topaz shook her head at the new human girl, pulling out her laptop so she could find new names that started with the letter L.

"How about Layla? It's basically the same as La-La, just a bit more... less pet name-y."

"Why do I even need to change my name? You gave me La-La for a reason."

"That was when you were a magical bunny who couldn't talk or do acrobatics." Topaz was already tired of the argument, she had spent the entire week trying to teach La-La how to speak and write. The basics. She still didn't know how to use a fork, but there was progress as she now knew how to walk four steps without tripping. "Just go with it, Layla's a nice name for a nice, er, girl like you."

"Fine, but don't expect me to start saying things like 'totally', or 'uber', or anything like that."

"No worries, now how about we finish your second grade math workbook?"

"Let me get this straight. You hit a dog, had a nuclear meltdown, went to the vet, Scott was there, felt you up, and now your going to the party?"

"Well technically, excluding the feeling up part." Allison shook her head as the two stood in front of Topaz's locker. "Why do you have a third grade science workbook in your locker?"

"It's because I used my magic to turn my pet rabbit into a human, and now have to teach her the basic human edict, because as soon as I stepped into this town my magic stopped working by a substantial amount and I can't turn her back, because my friends aren't here to connect me with their magic supply."

Allison blinked as Topaz gave her a wry smile, she watched the brunette burst out into laughter at the girls story. The blonde only joined her laugher and slipped on her pink cropped vest.

"Hilarious, about the party, we're getting ready together right?"

"Well duh, with my fashion taste, and your makeup skills, will be the prettiest gals there." She grinned playing with the edge of her lime green mini skirt. "Well other than Lydia of course."

"Of course." Allison agreed and linked arms with the blonde girl as they walked down the halls and towards the cafeteria.

"Young lady. We have a dress code in this school." Topaz turned around to see Harris with a walkie talkie in his palms. He had a stern look on his face as she looked down to see her stomach exposed, showing her diamond-shaped topaz gem in her bellybutton. She frowned, she was barely showing off any skin, other than the fact that her skirt ended just above her knees.

"What's wrong Mr. Harris? Am I distracting you?"

"Let's go Ms. Trollhopper, to the principal's office." He said aspirated, she quickly shot Allison a look before she followed Harris, trying to use the little magic she had to change his mind.

She followed alongside the tall chemistry teacher, feeling her finger flow with the slightest about of magic she had left in her. With a quick whoosh, she sent Mr. Harris' mind tumbling, forgetting all about her clothing issues.

Without a word, Topaz slipped away from her teachers grasp, quickly moving towards the cafeteria. Her mind was blank as she searched for Lydia or Allison, someone she could sit with and chat with. Finding no one she decided to slip into the lunch line, holding onto the green lunch tray she made eye contact with a student from her math class, he was sitting alone, munching on a few Doritos.

The blonde flashed him a smile before she spotted Allison sitting next to Scott and his friend that attacked her the other week. With the roll of her eyes she walked over to the three, a grin plastered onto her face. She plopped down next to them, her tray landing on the table with a thud, making Scott's unopened water bottle tip over.

"Hi, hi." She grinned sitting next to the twitchy boy who's eyes widened substantially. Allison smiled at the blonde girl and Scott gave her a curt nod.

"What happened with Harris?" Allison questioned as Topaz twirled a fry in her fingers.

"He was uber jel that I'm way more fashionable than he is." She giggled before munching on her French fry, she leaned forward before rolling her eyes once more at the thought of the horrid chemistry teacher. "Someone complained that my stomach and hot legs were distracting them."

"Idiots." She muttered before turned to Scott who was looking over at Stiles. Stiles' mouth was slightly parted as he looked down Topaz's smooth legs, earning a not so stubble kick from the other teenage boy.

"So are you guys going to Lydia's party?" She questioned, taking a bite of her veggie burger.

"Y-Yeah we all are." Stiles stuttered, earning a glare from the blonde, she still was angry at his for ruining her dress, and not apologizing. Though she was warming up to him.

"Good, PS, if any of you see me with alcohol in my hands run the other way."

"Why?" Scott questioned taking a sip from his juice box. She could see his hand was laced with Allison's making her smile grow. Topaz was totally pro team scallison, or team allott, she still debated on which ship name was the better one.

"Because I heard I'm either or. I'm either a sexual drunk or a mean one, you never know."

"Good to know," Stiles muttered but the blonde ignored him, asking about the latest movie they watched.

"Defiantly the blue one." Allison looked over at Layla, as Topaz curled her hair. Both Topaz and Allison were dressed, all they needed to do was their hair an makeup. Layla on the other hand had been debating over a blue dress and a white for the past twenty minutes.

"Okay you're done." She grinned finishing the last ringlet and set down the curled. Allison's hair was in tight ringlets that matched her outfit, while Topaz's blonde hair was styles in loose waved matching her white dress.

"Just wear the blue one, I'm already wearing white." She frowned at the girl, she was still upset at the girl answer she learned that she went out to buy coffee, and came home to find a giant stain on the sofa.

"Fine!" She sighed and slipped on the dress, Allison helping her out as Topaz pulled out eyeliner and a pink blue. Deciding not to allow her pet, well now friend, to wear so much makeup for the first time.

"I hope you know you're going to be the reason why we're late." Topaz shook her head as Allison applied some foundation for her, Layla only sighed and allowed Allison to help her.

It took ten more minutes until all three girls were done. Topaz was still slightly grumpy, but shook her head and followed Allison out the door.

"Okay. Let's do this."
