Chapter Five
Jerry dropped me off at the bus station that day ,i nearly got hit by a car on the way in it was really loud here i was used to the silence in the forest with Marlene now i'm in a town full of people for such a small town this bus station was massive loud car engines and weeping children i cringed as a kid let a loud cry as his angry mother yells at him i felt out of place in the crowded bus station it made me wonder just how many centuries have i spent in the cage? was i really ready for civilization? Was i prepared physically and mentally to see my dad and Ryder ? someone bumping into me snapped me out of my thoughts i was currently wearing some faded blue jeans with matching running shoes and a white tank top and of course a hoodie sheltering me from the 'outside world '
i looked up to meet a very annoyed hazel eyes that slowly turned into recognition, shock and fear i felt my eyes widening i didn't know this guy he didn't smell like a vampire i would have sensed it or a dog either but he didn't smell human i slowly backed away from him feeling my heart beat accelerating.
Demon
i didn't think twice about it and made a run for it i heard calling after me but i didn't stop i pushed past people i didn't wait to hear their complaint i just kept running memories flashing before my eyes
the cage ,the blood ,my blood ,my screams
'whore' the word echoing in my head making me stop i couldn't breath i felt like someone was choking me i put my hands on my heart i was having a panic attack i felt a hand on my back i instantly backed away it was him he followed me here i looked at him this is my first encounter with a supernatural being since i made it back
'i'm not going to hurt you don't be afraid' he said softly
i scoffed and said 'what are you?"my voice sounded firm and strong and for that i was thankful I've been through a lot i refuse to appear weak not on my own damn planet
'Relax,i'm a peaceful warlock I'm not going to touch you see ? i just want to talk" he said and backed away giving me a little so that i can breath warlock? a freaking warlock i could take him in a heartbeat well i think i could i still haven't fed and i wasn't sure if i had any strength left in me inhuman one for that matter well i had the vision and hearing but the speed and strength i haven't tested but if this sorcerer wanted to harm me in anyway i'll do whatever it takes to live because i'm a survivor i'm a fighter
"what do you want?" i demanded to know
"how did you get here? You're dead i mean you died i went to your funeral' he said seeming genially curious
well how i got here is the question of the century i thought and so i did hold a funeral for me hmmmm i realized that i could get information from this guy
"for centuries now" I said dryly
'where are they ?my father? the vampires? i continued
he gave me a strange look and said "last time i checked they were in the north side why do you want.....?"
i didn't let him finish and simply walked away from him toward the bus station i got what i wanted from him i now had a lead i could feel his eyes on me but i kept walking not once looking back
3 days later
this was my fifth state i haven't come across any creature of the night since my encounter with the warlock i knew wolves didn't run in these towns they weren't any packs i was glad to finally be in a familiar but i was alone truly alone and i hated it i keep watching my surrounding just waiting for them to come for me i still hear the voices i guess they're just going to keep taunting me i was currently in a diner in a town called Salem wrapping the jacket around me i looked out of the window people walking in the streets unaware of their fate setting the coffee on the table putting some 20 dollar bills i walked out of the diner it was 9:30 pm i started walking toward the motel when i got a weird sensation i heard a scream coming from an alley slowly followed by a loud thud i don't know why i did it but i followed the sound every fiber in me was screaming at me to leave it be and go back to the safety of the motel i slowly walked toward the darkly lit alley i hid behind a dumspter and focused on the 2 people i could see the shape of a male and a female using my senses i froze i could only hear 1 heartbeat the male's that's when the scent hit me blood ........vampire the guy had his arms around the corpse draining her
