Chapter Fifteen
Location: whatever is left of Artegon City
As I walked around Artegon City I couldn't help it but cringe at the smell of fire and death. I realized that for the first time in what feels like an eternity I felt helpless I bit my lips and pulled my fingers into a fist holding back a scream of frustration
8 vampires dead
13 humans 3 babies included dead
The only survivors me and 6 vampires and the humans that managed to make it to the underground emergency tunnel in time before they attacked .i lost a lot of good men ,brave warriors who had families who died protecting their home their city .
They burned one of my cities the thought rang in my head this was an attack on me they wanted me dead and these people who died are just collateral damage I guess I have more things to add to my list of awful things I committed.
I picked up a gun from the floor and looked at the cloudy sky unable to form a thought consumed by my guilt and shame .When we arrived at this city there were 14 of us only 6 are still standing.

It happened so fast one minute I was talking to a child and the city never looked so peaceful and then the next something catches my eye behind the 5 year old something flew straight into her father who happens to be human my eyes widened as I realized it was an arrow filled with fire it instantly spread into his body his screams my warriors ran to his aid
'everybody get to the safety now " I yelled the humans all made a dash for it all of them heading to the safety tunnel that I have had built a couple of months ago
I looked around counting how many warriors I had with me 13 so far I still don't know what we're up against whoever it is they were able to hack our system ,trespass, kill one of us as I saw that Katy's father was indeed gone they manage to do it all without being detected
'Cedrik go to the armory get me some fucking weapons' I ordered
Without hesitation ,he ran for it while me and the rest stood defensively in a line protecting the city from the sudden intruder
And then they came out the way they were dressed says it all
'hunters' I spit the name out like it was garbage
I made eye contact with one a female she gave a deadly glare while I just analyzed her choice of weapon a machete .
She made a hand gesture and then they attacked there were about 30 of them and then she disappeared in the battle somewhere
I could tell they were well trained from the way they fought together like a team 2 came charging at me and I twisted their necks in a second while I started on my path of destruction I realized my warriors were doing the same only not as fast
Where the heck is Cedrick I realized that we had the upper hand but a lot of us were down they were heavily armed with vervains even on their skin i ignored the burns on my hands as I ripped the heart out of a young one I heard an angry scream behind me I turned just in time to see the woman who I'm guessing is their leader coming charging at me with her weapon
'my queen' Cedrick yelled without turning I knew what he wanted I put up my hand on time to catch the rifle and just like that before she even reached me she was down I shot her in the stomach
