The car ride was painfully silent. At least until Kallisto figured out how to turn on the radio. Allison stayed silent until they were near Victorville, when she asked if they could stop so she could get a milkshake.
"Every time we stop, the ride gets longer," Blake, who was driving, said, "and I don't want to stay in this car longer than we have to."
"Well pardon my cravings," Allison said in a snobby tone. Just then, the chorus of Rude by Magic began to play. Marcus muffled a snicker, Kallisto snorted, and Blake tried to cover a smirk. Allison scowled at them and looked out of the window. They rode in silence (except for the radio) for about five hours. Then they stopped in Las Vegas for gas. This time it was the girls' turn to put in the gas and figure out who drove next.
Kallisto inserted the cash and put the pump on the hole. She turned to Allison, who was messing with her phone.
"Are you willing to drive next?" Kallisto asked.
"Not really," she said, "but I'll do it."
"Cool," Kallisto said, "Can you man the pump while I'm in the bathroom?"
"Sure!" Allison chirped. As Kallisto left, Allison eyed the pump. Her fingers moved over it, closing around the pump...

Allison drove silently while Blake drooled in his sleep and Marcus and Kallisto sang to Katy Perry's Dark Horse. Allison then heard the engine begin to make noise and the car begin to slow. She bit her lip, hoping that it wouldn't be heard over the music--
"What the heck is that noise?" Kallisto asked.
"And why are we slowing down?" Marcus asked, "Can you go any faster?"
"Uh..."
"And why does the meter say the tank is empty?" Marcus asked.
"Well that's not right," Kallisto said, "I just filled it."
"Obviously not," Marcus said, "The meter is saying that the tank is empty."
Before Kallisto could defend herself, Allison began moving to the side of the road. "I'm going to use our last bit of juice to pull over..."
She started pulling over. "Aaaaaaaaaand...we're out."
"Lovely. Now what are we going to do?" Kallisto sighed.
"Call a tow truck?" Allison offered. Kallisto noticed a strange look in Allison's eyes. Almost triumphant. "Well, that wouldn't work. They would see how young we are and call our parents."
"Unless..." Kallisto said with a mischievous gleam in her eye.
"Oh boy..." Marcus said.

When Blake woke up, he had no idea what was going on. Marcus, who was behind him, told him to just pretend he was still asleep. When Blake refused, he was told play on his phone. When he asked where Kallisto was, he was told that it was all part of the plan. Just then, a tow truck pulled up in front of them.
"Okayyy! Places everyone! Places!" Allison squealed in a sing song voice. The tow truck driver got out of the truck and walked over to their car. When he got to Allison's window, he didn't look up from his clipboard.
"Hello ma'am, here is some paperwork you will have to sign. On page three, it's asking for your phone number, not your credit card number, so watch out for that. Your credit card number goes on page five above the payment box. On page two, it asks what you drive. Please don't say 'a car'. That has happened on more than one occasion. It's asking you for your car mod--"
When he looked up from the clipboard, he saw Allison watching him intently.
"Aren't you a little too young to be driving on the open road?""Aren't you a little too hot to be in that truck alone?" Allison replied. Blake proceeded to smack her arm. Allison shot a warning glance at him.
"Oooookaaay, well, let's just call your parents and get you home." The mechanic man said. He pulled out a phone and asked Allison what her parent's number was. Suddenly, the van shook. Almost like something had run into it.
"What was that?" Allison asked, sticking her head out of her window.
"That sounded like a deer," Marcus said, trying to see outside.
"What the hell is a deer doing outside of Vegas?" Blake inquired, startled.
"Leave the children alone!" A voice boomed. The mechanic stepped back to see on top of the van. Standing at full height was the silhouette of a winged figure. It leapt off of the van, flew upward a ways, and landed in front of the awestruck man.
"W-w-what...a-are you a-an angel? Like from h-h-heaven?" The man asked, something like fear creeping into his voice.
"Yes," Kallisto said, turning her glare cold, "and I know everything about you..." She glanced at his name tag. "Michael."
"D-do you know about my online dating p-p-profile?" Michael asked his face pallid.
Kallisto looked to his left hand and saw what she wanted. "I do know that your wife loves you and that she will do anything to keep you."
"My ring isn't a wedding band." Michael said, his fearful gaze hardening.
"Remember who you're lying to." Michael's face turned twelve shades lighter. "Also, tow their van without their parents knowing. All they need is gas."
Michael stuttered a little. Before he said anything, Kallisto spoke. "Delete your online account and you'll be rewarded. If you are worried about these children's safety, relax. I have them covered. Just take them to the nearest gas station and buy them gas. I will watch you and report your behavior."
Kallisto leapt into the sky. Once the man secured the van to the tow truck and started driving away, Kallisto flew above them. It wasn't very hard to fly at fifty-five miles per hour.
Once they returned to Vegas and were filling up, Kallisto landed on the roof of the gas station. Michael was leaning on the van with his phone out. Since she learned to fly, her vision and hearing had sharpened. She could pinpoint the location of a rat from almost twelve stories up. She still couldn't see what he was doing however.
"What are you doing?" She heard Allison ask. Michael showed her his phone.
"I just deleted my dating account." He said. "I wonder if your almighty angel will reward me."
"She will." Allison said. "Just wait for it."
After about two minutes, when Allison had left to use the bathroom and Marcus was back, Michael's phone began to ring. Marcus asked who it was and he got a quick "its my wife" before Michael answered it. Kallisto watched his face go from nervous, to surprised, to over the top happy. When he hung up, he looked like he was about to cry from the overwhelming joy.
"What happened?" Marcus asked, Michael's happiness beginning to turn contagious.
"Your angel just blessed me!" Michael replied. His voice broke.
"How?" Marcus asked, impatient for the answer.
"My wife is pregnant!" Michael squealed. He received a hug from Marcus, then from the others when they returned. Not long after, he left with a smile plastered on his face. Kallisto landed next to her friends.
"How did you do that?" Allison asked.
"Do what?" Kallisto asked.
"Reward him." Blake put in. "How did you reward him by making his wife preggo?"
Kallisto twinkled her fingers and made a sound slightly resembling an octopus. "Maaaaaaaagiiiiic!"
