I pushed him away and wiped my lips.

"What the hell was that for?" He just smiled at me,

"You know you liked it" He winked then drove away. I stood there touching my swollen lip. I started the hike up to the mansion I jogged up and was met by Hachiko I knelt down and petted him,

"Hey boy, how are you?" I rubbed his tummy as he rolled over, we walked inside and Kandi came down with a gorgeous dress in her hands. I looked at her with a raised eyebrow,

"What's the occasion?" She smiled

"The Marlowes have invited us to a charity ball tonight! Isn't that fun?" I rolled my eyes,

"Sure I guess, I don't feel so good though can I skip out?" She put her free hand on her hip

"Alexis Mae Holbrook, you know your father's reputation is at stake here. He is the most powerful man on the West Coast and you haven't made any public appearances since last year!" I rolled my eyes,

"Fine.. I'll go."

"Thats great! It's at 7:00! Don't be late!" I just nodded and walked upstairs. I spent the rest of the day dancing at my studio, then Kandi and I went to get our nails, hair and makeup done. When we got home it was 5:00, everyone got ready, I showered, brushed my teeth, and I wore the stunning 5 million dollar sapphire blue dress, with a slit on the leg exposing my thigh, with my 23 million dollar diamond necklace and earrings. It was 6:50 when we all were ready. Dad came up to me kissing my forehead,

"Alexis you look absolutely gorgeous" Kandi nodded and wiped her eye. I looked at Amy and Mae they looked beautiful as well, Dad looked very dashing, and Kandi was gorgeous as always, they really made a cute couple. We all got into the limo and was off to the ball. When we arrived at the ball I stared at the mansion before me, it was as big and beautiful as mine, but this one had a expensive 'scared to break anything' feel to it, as opposed to mine was homey yet elegant. We climbed the stairs as a family, we stopped at the grand staircase,

"Please welcome Heiress to Holbrook Corps. Ms. Alexis Mae Holbrook!" (Holbrook Corps. is the Holbrook family buisness, consisting of hotels, restaurants, malls, businesses, hospitals, private islands etc.) I smiled at everyone as I gracefully walked down the steps with a fold of my dress in my hand. As soon as I reached the bottom I spotted Evan, I walked towards him but as soon as I got close to him that pregnant ex girlfriend of his kissed him on the lips. I stopped, blinked away my tears, turned around and I walked smack into a tall strong figure.

"Hey neighbor where you off to in such a hurry?" He gave me that cute smile of his as he looked down at me. A slow song was about to come on so I tried to walk around him but he grasped my arm in a firm grip.

"Care to dance?" I noticed people getting in formation, I sighed and placed my hand over his, and one behind his shoulder, he placed his hand around my waist, holding my hand in his. I was surprised at how he was such a good dancer. We glided along the floor swiftly and gracefully making small talk along the way.

"The names Zach by the way, Zach Marlowe."

"Alexis, Alexis Mae Holbrook." I kept looking at Evan and that preggo,

"Why do you keep glaring at that couple?" Zach eyes me curiously

"That guy is just aggravating! That's Evan my supposedly boyfriend! With that hoe he knocked up." He nodded his head and lead us over to them still dancing,

"Zach! What the hell are you doing?" He shushes me and we danced by their side. I looked over at Evan and his eyes met mine, he mouthed 'I'm sorry' I quickly looked away and I feel Zach's hands wander to my ass, he squeezes then slams his lips on mine. Wow he's a good kisser.. before my eyes close I see Evan staring at us. I continued to kiss Zach even though I could hear the snaps of paparazzi. I'm actually enjoying this kiss.

Zach's POV

I have no idea what possessed me to kiss Alexis but seeing her on the verge of tears just because of some jackass angered me! I am not sure if I kissed her to make Evan jealous or because I wanted to, but she tastes good. Her soft, pink, full lips crashed on mine was a great feeling. She parted her mouth welcoming me in, and our tongues began to dance. After we kissed the song ended and she turned and ran away. I ran after her chasing her out onto the terrace. She wrapped her arms around herself looking at the moon. I slowly walked to her, and put my jacket around her shoulders, it was a chilly night.

"Alexis I'm so sorry, I didnt mean t-

"Zach its okay, I wanted you to...."She looked at me with her big bambi-like eyes, I just wanted to hold her and kiss her but I knew I couldnt. I just listened to her talk and watched the moon with her. The moment was perfect then,

"Lexii please let me explain" I turned around to see Evan, Lexii also turned around. She looked at me and I nodded my head. Before she left she took out her checkbook and wrote $100,000. She gave me a small smile

"It's not much but I know it will help." then she walked off with Evan.

Alexis' POV

I walked back inside with Evan we went upstairs to talk in private. I sat on the bed and he sat next to me.

"Lexii I never meant to hurt you, but I have to be there for my kid." I wiped a tear that rolled down my cheek,

"Evan it's okay I understand." He grabbed my hand

"Lexii can I have one last kiss?" He moved closer to me grabbing my face and gently placing his lips on mine, our lips moved in sync and I found myself moving closer to him. He put his arm under my legs pulling me up onto his lap, I wrapped my arms around his neck as we kissed he wrapped his arm around my waist, the other hand stroking my thigh. He parted his lips and our tongues met, we stayed in that room kissing and cuddling, me in his arms, on his lap, for a good 20 minutes until the door opened. I opened my eyes and pulled away to see a very angry Lila.

"Evan how could you? Your lucky our baby can't see this! You making out with a whore in a stranger's house!" She stared at Evan's hand on my thigh, and the hickey on my neck. She glared at me then Evan spoke.

"Lila this is not some whore like you, this is my best friend a girl I have loved for as long as I can remember, I just wanted one last kiss with her before I devote my life to our baby." I smiled at him and kissed his cheek before hopping off his lap. I left the room not wanting to cry in front of them. Evan! Ugh I need to get my mind off him. I went to the bar, I spotted some celebrities and ordered a vodka. Shot after shot my vision became hazy.

"Hey babe whats up?" I turned to look at Zach, 'mmm he looks so sexy in that tux..'

"Not much just drinking, care to join me?" He sat on the bar stool next to me.

15 minutes later

"Oh maw gawd! That was so funny!"

*Random gibberish*

*Laughing hysyerically*

"I fucking love water skiing!"

*More laughing*

10 minutes later

*In the coat room*
