The Lost One's Legacy (A Pokémon Fanfiction)

Prologue

Etain had lived a happy life. Things were quite carefree for Etain, her older sister Aradi, who was a Togetic, and their mother Ona, who was a majestic Togekiss. Even though they lived in a hollowed out hole in a gigantic tree, they loved where they lived wholeheartedly. Though, things were soon about to be quite topsy-turvy in this family.

"I have something I need to do. I'll be home soon, alright?" Ona said, patting Etain on the head lightly with one of her wings. Both Etain and Aradi nodded, as Ona began to balance on the hole and fly out to do what she needed to.

What Ona needed to do would be something quite risky, that she couldn't be sure what the turnout would be. This mission would be to find Etain and Aradi's father. There were things that she needed to tell him. But more than anything, she wanted him to come back and help her raise the kids. Because although it was nice there, it was always hard to keep it altogether. They needed a father figure.

But this was soon cut short, as she thought she could hear a whistling noise zooming closer. She turned around and saw that there were nets drawing near. These must be Pokémon hunters searching for her, because who else would use a net to catch a Pokémon.

But Ona wouldn't be going down so easily. She began to dodge the nets that were flying at her, while attempting to fly away at a quickened pace. But this quite tiring for her, and anyone would be able to tell that. Soon, she wasn't able to dodge one of the nets flying at her, and she was caught in it. She struggle for a moment, hoping she could still attempt to fly, but that was near impossible, and she began plummeting toward the ground, still trying to get herself back in the air, but that stopped as soon as she hit the ground, which knocked her unconscious.

Maybe she wouldn't be coming home like she thought.
