History
The first mention of silver eyes comes in "Ruby Rose" when Ozpin comments about Ruby's eyes.
In "End of the Beginning" after witnessing Pyrrha Nikos' death, Ruby uses her powers for the first time but collapses afterwards. After she wakes up, Qrow explains to her the legend of the Silver-Eyed Warriors and that, like her mother, Summer Rose, she is descended from them.

Little is known about their abilities, however in "End of the Beginning", Ruby Rose is told that when she unleashed her power she "froze" the Grimm Dragon. Qrow Branwen explained that those born with silver eyes were destined to become warriors and were feared by the creatures of Grimm. He also said that these warriors had the ability to strike a Grimm down with a single look.

Silver-Eyed Warriors (unofficial) are legendary warriors that existed before Huntsmen and the Kingdoms. They are said to be able to strike down Grimm by just looking at them and that the Grimm feared them.
