My day starts off like any other at Dreamswood Academy for the Gifted. And by "gifted" I mean supernatural. Others, like the school district, are talking about smarts. I walk to my locker with my best friend, Lucy St. Claire. "OMA!!! YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN THAT SHIRT I BOUGHT YESTERDAY," Lucy screamed. I raised a eyebrow, "OMA?" Lucy shrugged, "It stands for 'Oh My Anubis'." I rolled my eyes, shut my locker, and headed to homeroom. My other best friend, Cameron McKnight, showed up. "Lisa," he called, "S'up girl?" I shook my head. Cameron was supernatural like me. I can read people's minds, while Cam can see the future. He never told me, but in 4th grade, he told me not to eat a lot at Golden Corral, and that night I at so much, that I threw up. So in 7th grade I asked him and he told me about his powers. The only thing we have in common, besides being BFFs, is that we have wings. Like, Maximum Ride wings. Mine are tucked in my shirt.

My day continued on until 9th block, which is my period with Wendy King. She is the most popular, cutest, EVILEST girl in the whole 10th grade. And she was headed my way...
