Hussain pov
After washing my face,i decided to go downstairs and play with Aarzoo.Upon reaching down what my eyes saw came as a huge surprise to them
Atif was here!!!!!
He was sitting with his family as well as ammi and abbu were present there.It had been long since i had met Atif.Infact,he had come to Houston after three long years
After greeting his parents,Atif engulfed me in a tight hug
"I am really sorry yaar.Sanaa bhabhi ka chala toh mujhe bohot dukh huwa par yeh khushi bhi huwi ki tumne Aarzoo ke baare main socha aur dobara nikkah karliya.Waise meri bhabhi hai kahaan???"
I looked at Atif and smiled back at him
"Haan yaar...Aarzoo bohot choti hai aur uske liye ammi ka saaya bohot zaroori hai aur Sanaa ki aakhri khwaish bhi thi toh...Nimra ke saath nikkah toh karliya par Sanaa ko kabhi nahi bhool paunga...ek aur baat bhi hai ki ek ladki ne mere liye,meri beti ke liye apne sapnon ko qurbaan karke mujhse nikkah kiya hai.Shayad main ek acha shohar na ban paunga par uska acha dost banne ki koshish zaroor karunga."
Atif kept his hand on my shoulder and gave me an encouraging smile.I took him to the kitchen to introduce him to Nimra who was busy preparing dinner
She had already changed her clothes and was out of her bridle attire.She was wearing a long blue dress and had pinned her duppata to the side
She had tied her long hair in a bun and was very busy cooking to notice our entrance in the kitchen
"Nimra..yeh mera sabse acha dost hai..Atif Khan...hamara bodybuilder...aur Atif,yeh hai tumhari bhabhi aur meri biwi,Nimra."
Atif greeted Nimra and she responded back to him.Infact both devar and bhabhi got along very well
Atif asked about where Aarzoo was and Nimra told him that she was with Sofiya bhabhi in her room
Atif left from the kitchen leaving me and Nimra alone
I dont know why but i really felt the urge to let open Nimra's long tresses
I neared her...
"Nimra..."
She turned back and looked at me.I looked gradually into her eyes and felt like i would drown into them forever
I placed my hand on her bun and removing her pin,i let loose her long hair that were tied up
"Tum khoole baalon main zyada khoobsurat lagti ho..."
Saying this,i gave her pin in her hands and exited from the kitchen
Nimra pov
It was something that i could not believe had just happened
I replayed that very scene in my mind continously never wanting to forget that moment nor his words
"Tum khoole baalon main zyada khoobsurat lagti ho"
These words continously rang in my ears and a blush crept up to my cheeks as i touched my hair
"Ahem!!!!Ahem!!!!"
A cough from somebody who had just entered the kitchen brought me back to my senses.
Upon looking i saw Sofiya bhabhi standing by the door and grinning at me
"Kya huwa devraniji...itni laal kaise hogayi ho aap???"
The blush started coming back but i composed myself in the nick of time to save myself an embarrasement
"Woh....umm...haan....woh yahaan par garmi zyada hai na issliye heat ka effect hoga shayad.A..aapko kuch chahiye tha???"
Sofiya bhabhi looked at me suspiciously whilst i crossed my fingers behind my back and prayed in my heart fervently for bhabhi to answer the question i had asked to evade hers
"Haan...woh ammi pooch rahi hai ki agar khaana taiyaar ho toh table par lagade.Sab logon ko bohot zyada bhookh lagi hai."
I breathed a sigh of relief and then hurriedly grabbed spoons,plates,bowls and glasses to arrange the table with Sofiya bhabhi helping me
I placed the food on the table and then went to call Maha and Hussain from their respective rooms
After calling Maha i headed to our room to call Hussain but before i could do that,i saw Hussain in Shehry bhai's room
Hussain had held Aarzoo in his arms and was talking to her.Seeing the bonding between the father-daughter duo made tears well up in my eyes
He was smiling and laughing,making funny faces and kisding her after every second
He had laughed and smiled after so many days.
It seemed like he had just forgotten how to smile and laugh after Sanaa's demise.
I stepped into the room and told Hussain that dinner had already been served at the table and he was being waited for downstairs.
"Aarzoo ko mujhe deejiye..main usko sambhalti hu..aakhir meri bhi beti hai woh tab tak aap nichey jaake khaana khaalen."
Hussain refused and instead of giving Aarzoo to me he started talking to her in a baby-like voice
He looked extremely cute when he was doing that
"Aarzoo...mamma se kaho zyada jealous hone ki zaroorat nahi hai..unse kaho ki aaj meli princess mele saath khaama khayegi haina mela baby???"
Aarzoo just looked at Hussain and suddenly started smiling at him
I told Hussain that Aarzoo was still young to eat with him and he should go and have dinner
He started pouting like a baby and finally handed Aarzoo over to me
As he was about to leave,he returned back and kissed Aarzoo on the forehead and then left to have dinner
I went downstairs with Aarzoo and stood near Hussain all that while
An announcement was made at the table regarding Atif's engagement ceremony the next day to a girl called Nabiha
I handed Aarzoo to Sofiya bhabhi and proceeded to the kitchen to bring the dessert
I had made a chocolate cake and was really anxious to know how it had been made
Everyone liked it a lot and gave me shagun money because this was actually meant to be a ritual
I looked at Hussain take a bite with his spoon and he looked back at me with a smile
Looking side-ways to make sure nobody was looking at him,he gave me a thumbs-up sign with an appreciating gesture!!!!!!
