I headed into my cabin to pack my belongings as Annabeth, Grover, and Chiron followed me.
"Percy," Grover began reluctantly, "Thank you." I must have looked confused because when I looked at him, his smile turned into a frown.
"Why are you thanking me Grover?" I began. "I'm the one who didn't help you fight the hellhounds." Grover walked closer to the bed and sat down.
"I mean thank you for saving Annabeth." I kind of understood but was still a little confused. I was more worried about Annabeth than anything else. Annabeth's shoulder was a lot better, but it was still a little swollen. Grover looked up at me and said, "I knew Chiron would come help me fight, I-" Grover stopped as if he was hiding something from all of us.
"Grover," Chiron began, "you can tell them." Grover looked at Annabeth and I and said, "I had a vision about how Chiron was going to come help me fight the hellhounds. I was glad to hear that you saved Annabeth and left me." Even though Grover thanked me for saving Annabeth from bleeding to death, I still felt bad for leaving him.
"Well, is everybody ready to go?" Chiron asked as if we knew where we were going.
"Um, where exactly are we going?" Annabeth asked.
"We have to head to the Empire State Building," Chiron replied with a wide grin on his face. I remembered the quest I had last summer and going to Olympus to return the lightning bolt and to see my father, Poseidon.
"What about my mom?" I began to ask Chiron. "I better tell my mom about this quest." Chiron but his hand on my shoulder and said, "Percy, you can't tell your mom about this quest. We are running out of time to save Olympus, Annabeth's mom, your father, and all of the other gods!" Chiron had a worried expression on his face now, but seemed to calm down after he saw I understood. "Well then, we better get going. We have to catch the first taxi we see," Chiron said as Annabeth, Grover, and I gathered our belongings and headed out of the Poseidon cabin. As we walked past Thalia's tree, memories popped into my head. I remembered how Annabeth told me Thalia sacrificed her own life for her, Grover, and Luke. I still can't believe Zeus turned his own daughter into a tree when she was being attacked. While I was imagining Thailia's story, Annabeth said, "Come on Seaweed Brain!" Typical Annabeth. After we crossed the borders of Camp Half-Blood, we headed to the city!
