It was a cold night at Camp Half-Blood. Everyone was asleep except for Annabeth and I. We were too worried that Hades would release his monsters out into the world like the Oracle had told us. Annabeth and I decided that night we would meet in my cabin to talk about what the Oracle had informed us.
"Percy," Annabeth began nervously, "what if the Oracle is right? What if Hades is going to try to kill all of us?" As Annabeth said this she rested her head on my chest and cried. She usually was very brave and confident, but I could see she was afraid.
"Don't worry Annabeth," I began trying to cheer her up. "I'll protect you from Hades." Feeling a little better, Annabeth slowly lifted her head. Her eyes were red and puffy, but she still looked beautiful.
"We just can't tell anyone about this or they will all panic," Annabeth and I agreed. "I think we should get some rest now," I began as I rubbed my eyes to show I was tired. Annabeth didn't look like she was tired, but she nodded her head and left the cabin. As I sat on the bed, I was filled with worry. Finally I was fast asleep, but had a bad nightmare. The nightmare took place at Olympus and Zeus and the other gods were being executed by Hades.*dream*
"Please Lord Hades," Zeus began as he knelt down crying, "have mercy on us."
"I have finally taken over Olympus. Why should I spare you useless gods?! Guards, take all of the gods to the execution room!" All of the gods screamed as they were taken into the execution room. I had to do something.
"Hades," I began to yell, "let them go!" Hades turned around and laughed at me.
"Well, if it isn't Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon," he began. "I have your father."
"Don't hurt them. They didn't do anything wrong!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. Then Hades bent down, grabbed me, and showed me Annabeth on the floor in chains.
"Everyone in the human world will end up like you and that stupid girl!" Hades yelled as he dropped me. As I hit the floor, chains started rapping around me and squeezing me so tight that I couldn't breathe. "You will all suffer and die and the gods will be under my control!" Annabeth and I were struggling to get out, but a second later, Annabeth fell to the ground and didn't move. Her soul disappeared into the air. She was dead.*end of dream*
I woke up with a massive headache and sweat rolling down my cheeks. That was one of the most terrifying nightmares I had ever had. Just as I sat up on my bed, Annabeth came in to see me.
"Good morning sleepy head," Annabeth said as her face turned concerned. "Are you okay? You look like you're about to pass out." I looked at her and told her about my dream. She sat down on my bed with me and then leaned against my chest. We sat there for what seemed like forever, but after a few minutes she got up, grabbed my hand, and we went outside together.
"Annabeth," I began to ask Annabeth, "can we at least tell Grover?" Annabeth thought for a second and then replied.
"I guess. What do you think he'll do?"
"I don't know but we can't keep the message from the Oracle a secret from Grover," I replied. Grover loved to go talk to the Oracle and reported back to us if there was bad news. If we kept this news from him, he would never forgive us. What should we do?Hey my half-bloods! I hope you enjoyed the first chapter in Percabeth.
