Averi's P.O.V

After almost half an hour of screaming, I began to lose my voice, so I had to resort to howls. They were much louder than my pathetic cries for help, but doubt still crawled in my stomach as hope faded from my mind. My side was screaming and my wing was still trapped under the damn rocks. Could things get any worse? Oh yeah right, the goddamn giant wave rushing toward me!

I was only seconds from giving up, but that was before I heard my name being called from outside. It was the unmistakable voice of Starfire's, that innocent tone being carried by the wind and to me.

It was only a whisper, but clear enough for me. "Friend! We hear your howls! Where are you?"

I muffled up enough strength to call back. "I'm here! Under the rock! I'm here!"

There was only one hole in the room I was in, which showed only a small crack of the outside world from just a small opening in the ceiling. I suddenly seen a shadow slink across the hole, cutting off the light for a split second before disappearing again.

"It came from around this area." That was Bee's voice. She was actually looking for me? "I could have sworn I heard something."

I let out another long howl. "Down here! Down here!"

Pieces of cement trickled on my head as the pounding of feet knocked them loose form above. Finally I seen a head appear through the hole and then Starfire's happy squeal. "I found her! She over here!"

3 other forms soon appeared, and they looked completely exhausted. Dust covered every inch of their bodies, making them almost unrecognizable.

Bee peered down into the hole. "Are you hurt?" She asked, her eyes having a hard time adjusting to the darkness.

"My side opened up again." As I spoke, I could feel my head getting lighter from the blood loss. "And my wing. Its stuck under some rocks."

My heart skipped a beat when I heard a particular voice. "Robin needs to know we found her." It was Jason. "Somebody message him while the others look for a way to get her out."

Surprisingly, they obeyed the orders. I could see their hands wrap around a piece of rock as they tried to break it away from the opening, but it was stuck pretty tight.

Everyone froze when they heard static on the communicator and one muffled voice on the other end. "The wave will hit the city in less than a minute! Get to high grounds, now!"

It was Aqualad's voice, and it did not sound good. I watched a everybody outside slowly looked up to the horizon, and look of sheer terror spread across their faces.

"I can see it!" Beastboy shouted as he leaps up from where he was sitting. "We gotta go!"

"We can't just leave Averi!" Starfire argued. "She will drown!"

My stomach was doing 360 flips inside of me. I could just imagine it, the water seeping in through the tiny cracks around me and filling my throat with its icy bite.

"Get me the hell out of here" I roared, making them all jump. "I don't know what you're so worried about, you can all fly for Fenris sake!"

"If we do that, you will be buried under dozens of feet of water!" Bee said, making me panic even more. "I don't know what to do!"

My mind raced as I tried to think of something that could get me out. Only one thing came to mind. "Does anyone have any explosives?"

They then looked at me as if I was insane. "If we blow this hole, it could bring all of the stuff on top of it down on you!" Jason said. "Its to dangerous."

"I don't care!" My voice was straining as I fought to keep conscious. I could feel myself slipping out, but I knew if I did that, I would never wake. "If anyone else had a better idea, I would love to hear it! I already know I'm gonna die young, but I will not be known as the Werewolf that was killed by water!"

I could see then sharing uncertain glances, looking from me to the giant wall of water moving toward them. Finally, I seen Jason slowly reach to his belt and pull out what seemed to be a tiny compact ball. I could tell he was debating within himself to do it or not. Of course he would be worried.

"Are you sure about this?" He asked as he stared down into the hole.

I forced a small smile onto my face. "Not in the slightest."

I suddenly heard a loud crash coming from outside, and the ground gave a small jolt sideways making everybody above have to fight to keep standing. "It hit the cliffs!" Bee called, already beginning to fly upward. "We gotta get out of here!"

Jason suddenly just shook his head. "You guys find somewhere higher up to wait! I'm not leaving her alone!"

They all hesitated as Bee attempt to reason with him. "But X..."

"Just go!" He demanded, and after a small hesitation, they quickly took off and help both of us on the round.

I could hear the water as it flowed along the round, overtaking anything it touched. Jason noticed it too, but the only thing he seemed worried about was me. "Cover your head!" He called.

Doing what he said, I created a weak force field around myself as he prepared to blow the ground to shambles. He gave me one last gimps through the hole, dread filling every corner of his expression, and all I could muster was one last weak smile before I seen his hand fly behind his head.

All I heard was an explosion, and the sound of crashing water.
