''Are you sure you don't want to play the violin anymore?'' Bryana, Luke's blonde friend exclaimed.
''Well seeing that I can't hear might as well just give it and besides, If I keep playing people might just start comparing me to Beethoven.'' Luke signed grumpily.
''Why are you against the idea of being compared to Beethoven anyways?'' Bryana asked.
''I am a musician who does not tolerate comparison. It may be stupid because being compared to another musician is totally normal and being deaf doesn't help my situation. I want to be remembered by the music I play and not by being compared to another composer who happens to be deaf as well.'' Luke sighed and massaged his tired arms from that long explanation.
''Well you're you afterall. The Luke who's confident and strong no matter what.'' Bryana smiled sweetly.
~
''WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE SOLD HIS VIOLIN?!?'' Michael screamed.''He told me it was of no use to him anymore. I know him and I know he's lying.'' Bryana sighed.
''Then why did he sell it in the first place?'' Michael asked.
''You see Luke is losing hope.'' Bryana held her head down, trying to fight the tears from coming as her voice cracked.''He's losing hope of ever becoming okay. He knows he's being made fun of. How did the great violinist who had a violin tour in Vienna, had a scholarship in Juilliard School, had been in the newspapers proclaimed as the 'violin prodigy' become like this? A deaf university student who ended up in an average school in Australia taking up a course which he isn't into.'' Bryana sobbed.
''How did Luke lose his hearing in the first place?'' Michael asked.
''It was around when he was eighteen. Just finishing a tour in Vienna and he was headed to New York for Juilliard to study there. He began complaining about how he couldn't hear while he was playing. We took him to the hospital and yeah, deaf. He wasn't completely deaf as he is still be able some frequencies but still deaf.'' Bryana sighed for the nth time.
''He's only deaf and he's not mute. Then why doesn't he speak?'' Michael asked.
''Him speaking is like an incurable disease. It will never happen. Atleast I think it wont.'' Bryana said.
''He got traumatized. After trying to speak in school he was laughed out for sounding funny and weird because he can't hear his intonations.'' Bryana lowered her head.
''I see.'' Michael stared at the ground, after thinking hard for a long time, '' Im getting his violin back.''
''How on earth are you going to do that? Even he doesn't who he sold his violin to!'' Bryana exclaimed.
''Ill find a way. He cant just give up like this.'' Michael said.

Michael, Calum and Ashton looked like the three stooges. Looking like idiots for standing so long in front of Guild University, which apparently, the buyer of Luke's violin went there. They asked many students and its been three days and they still had no luck.
''Should we give up?'' Calum asked.
''Or should we just keep chasing pavements!'' Ashton sang.
''You think that whipped dimwit will let us give up? You should ask more people instead of flirting with girls here.'' Ashton said.Michael wasn't with the boys as he was taking his midterms. He was thankful that the boys went even though he didn't ask them to.
''Uhhh excuse me..'' A boy with black rimmed glasses and black hair approached the two.
''If you're looking for the person who bought Luke's violin...''~
''Just follow me okay?'' Michael said while guiding Luke who was blind folded.
''What are you even up to?''
Luke signed. Both boys continued walking but Luke was startled when they came to a sudden stop in front of a dimly lit room
''Okay ill take your blindfold off now but still keep your eyes closed! After I count to three open them.'' Michael said untying the blindfold.
''Keep your eyes closed!'' Michael said waving a hand infront of Luke just to make sure.
''Ill open them if you don't hurry up!'' Luke signed, annoyed.
''Okay one, two, three!''
Luke was in shock. It was his violin in his overly-decorated-with-bands-and-skating-stickers case that he had for many years.
''Mike wanted to surprise to you so.'' Calum said awkwardly scratching the back of his head with Bryana and Ashton next to him.
Luke slowly walked towards to the four of them with head hanging low. He got on his knees.
''Oh no need for that! Come on get up!'' Ashton said, overwhelmed by the gratitude.
''He's crying.'' Calum said.
Michael took Luke's chin and lifted his head up gently. His heart flutter when his green eyes met Luke's teary blues.
Michael hugged him and Luke hugged him tighter, sobbing harder onto Michael's chest while Michael rubbed the boy's back.
'He wasn't ready to give up music afterall.' Michael thought.
