I looked both ways, at the fog that met my eyes when I looked down the cave paths. I closed my eyes, knowing the fog was the last thing I was going to see. I pulled the lever down and heard a piston. I was dead. I knew it. But I opened my eyes and I wasn't. In front of me, there was a pathway. It was very foggy too, so to see what was in there, I had to walk in. I entered the room, and it was much warmer, but scarier too. I could see webs, and paths of stone, tracks too. But more importantly, wooden planks. I knew exactly what this was. It was an abandoned mine.
Cobwebs met my eyes, as I broke the wood with my bare fists. I turned them into more sticks and crafted more torches. I was very happy with this. I heard footsteps when celebrating. I immediately stopped and looked around. Must've been my imagination, I thought. I walked around the forgotten mine, placing torches so that mobs wouldn't spawn behind me.
I looked around, and found a room. It was more of a hole in the wall, mined up to make a sort of room. I found some chests, so I decided to investigate it. Diamonds, flint and steal, and some iron armour. Whoever used to own this mine, was very experienced. I put on the iron armour. I also wanted to wait before making something with the diamond. One is only good for a shovel, or other useless things.
I walked around, zombies. I took them down with ease, with my stone sword. Of course, stone seems rubbish now that I've got all this iron armour. I didn't want to use my flint and steel just yet, if it's just to take down some zombies. I heard footsteps again, slowly coming from behind. I rapidly turn to look, but there was nothing there. Weird.
I walked down the mine some more, now getting bored and VERY hungry, when suddenly a figure ran in front of me, too fast to catch any details. But right in front of me, was one cake. I was so pleased, yet confused at the same time, but I wasted no time in devouring the cake. I felt just right food wise, when it hit me. An arrow jabbed my back. Skeletons. I let out a hight pitched sound of pain. The dark figure returned, with a diamond sword. They fought off the skeleton with ease. I was very impressed, despite counting myself as a warrior, I had to respect them. The figure tried to run away, but I managed to grab it by the arm.
"Who are you?" I asked. The figure saved me twice, I had to know. The person took down their hood.
"Hi... I'm Alice".
