I woke up, in a small puddle of water. All around me was blood. My blood that had spread my stomach. I felt weak, I was going to collapse again, but I knew that I needed to stay strong. I looked up at Alice's tower, now a lot smaller, she was digging down to get to me.
"Alice..." I tried to shout, but ended up a small whisper. "Alice..." I tried again. Alice looked down at me, worried. She wasted one of her only chances of escape, to take care of me. I have to say, I felt grateful, but guilty. Spending years trapped in here, and because I got in the way, she goes back down.
"Fred! FRED!" she shouts at me. I looked up at her, with bloody water all over me. She lifts me out of the puddle, and I find it VERY hard to walk. She takes a bucket from the chest, and takes water, without my blood on it, and washes me. I black out, so I don't really remember this bit...
I wake up, to find myself back inside the mined up room. I look down, my shirt as clean as possible. I lift up my shirt, revealing a hole in it. It makes me feel sick, just remembering that hole. I did feel sick back then, so sick I puked. Alice came and cleaned it up too. She's been so helpful, I feel like I haven't done enough. Then there is that voice that's telling me I freekin' took an arrow for her! So I guess we're pretty even. Well I could've died so... but anyway.
"When are we going to go back up to the surface?" I asked Alice. She was shocked.
"We're going back up? Not ANYTIME soon! It's dangerous up there!" she cried.
"I promised I'd get you up there alive. I took an arrow for you, you should've gone. I'm weighing you down..." I said. Alice shook her head with disbelief.
"I'm not leaving you!" Aliece had a tear in her eye.
"Then we're going back up... both of us..." I say. Alice can't believe I'd want to try to go back up. With this strength, and what happened before too. But I knew I could. I got up, with Alice trying to stop me, but she couldn't. I walked to the drop.
"Give me stack please" I asked. Alice stopped, but gave me stacks anyway. She had stacks herself. After a very long while, we made a bridge to the surface. Alice looked around. The sky looked amazing today. No clouds. Alice ran to a flower, picked up up and smelled it.
"The... surface!" she smiled! She looked back at the drop.
"I don't need you!" she shouted at it, smiling and laughing.
"Right Alice... time to get to the village!" I said. Alice nodded, keeping the flower safe. She punched down some trees, me, observing. soon she created planks, and then a crafting table with a grid on it. She had iron and redstone, and soon made a compass. The pointer was pointing behind us, so we ventured on.
In the distance, in a VERY flat area, I saw buildings.
"Is that it?" I said, a little too excitedly.
"Yes" she nodded. My first village, and Alice would not be happy.
