Furiosa had a hardened look on her face.
"He said to move on if he didn't come back," she stated, but Savage could see her hesitance to leave. Nux's arm had tightened around her waist, and Savage was worried for the blood bag, even though she had hardly spoken to him. Nux also seemed concerned.
"Wait! I see something!" Cheedo shouted.
"Keep your voice down," Savage growled. But Cheedo was right, there was a silhouette walking towards them. She drew a throwing knife from her belt just in case it was someone from the Bullet Farmer's war machine. But it wasn't.
It was the blood bag.
He was carrying a canister of guzzoline in one hand and a boot in the other; it was Nux's boot. The blood bag chucked the boot at Nux and stored the canister in the back of the golden Camaro.
"What is this?" he asked as he dunked his hands in a bucket of milk.
"Mother's milk," someone replied.
"Are you hurt?" Toast asked. "You're bleeding".
"That's not his blood," Furiosa murmured.
Once the blood bag was finished washong blood from his face he climbed into the war rig. Furiosa nodded and ushered the wives inside the rigs cabin. Nux and Savage climbed into the golden car, Savage letting Nux drive as she climbed up onto the lancers perch.
"Be careful with my car," Savage warned as she stuck her head through the hatch. Nux looked star struck as he shifted the car into gear.
"I'm driving a very famous car," Nux was giddy with excitement as he sped off after the war rig, whooping in excitement as he let a few bursts of flame loose from the side burners. Savage smirked as she picked up a thunderstick and twirled it in her fingers. It had been too long since she had been a lancer and not the driver.

Driving long into the night was becoming tedious, so Savage started counting the vast amounts of ammunition she had for her shotgun, pistol, and thundersticks. In all she had; twenty five rounds for her six shot pistol, forty two for her shotgun, and twenty thundersticks neatly stacked up against the sides of the lancers perch.
"How are you doing Nux?" Savage asked as she slipped through the hatch and into the passengers seat.
"This car is so chrome," he smiled at the girl he had undoubted feelings for.
"I meant Larry and Barry," Savage murmured as she gently touched the area around the two deadly lumps.
"They aren't bothering me at the moment," he replied as he rubbed her knee comfortingly.
"I know someone back in Gastown who could remove those," Savage murmured as she traced the contours of his face and over the scars on his lips that were so similar to her own. "He is a good friend of mine".
"Really?" Nux asked, a smile pulling at his lips. "The Organic Mechanic never had the equipment to remove them, well nothing that wouldn't kill me". Savage smiled sadly as she leant over and gently kissed Nux's jaw. He sighed contently as he leaned into the soft kisses.
"I have never felt this way," Savage murmured as she started to kiss down his neck.
"Neither," Nux sighed. "There were never any girls in the Citadel for us half lives".
"I'm glad I answered the call to war," Savage stated as she now kissed along his collarbone.
"Why?" Nux asked, shocked. "Until a few days ago I lived for war, now I think it's awful".
"Because I wouldn't have met you," Savage whispered as she unbuckled Nux's pants and lowered her head into his lap.
