The early morning rays of light were what woke Savage up the next morning. She rubbed her tired eyes and looked up at Nux, who she had fallen asleep on. After things had started to escalate last night Nux had signalled for the war rig to pull over, saying they all "needed a break". Needless to say he and Savage hardly got any rest.

Savage took this rare moment to just study Nux's features. He had a very strong jawline, the scars making his soft face seem war torn, but handsome at the same time. His chest was warm beneath Savage's bare flesh and his abs on softly defined, but enough so that she could run her fingers between each one. Savage was so grateful that she had met this war boy. He was showing her a side of life she never knew.

"Do you like what you see?" Nux smirked as his eyes slowly fluttered open, his bright blue orbs settling on Savage's lighter blue ones.

"Definitely," Savage laughed as she snuggled closer to Nux's pale skin. He ran his calloused hands down the curves of her body, her skin surprisingly soft for having been living in the harshness of Gastown. Nux felt himself getting excited again so he gently rolled Savage off of him and onto the passenger seat.

"You are no fun," Savage fake pouted as she rummaged around for her clothing. Nux himself pulled his pants back on and kissed Savage's bare back as she pulled on her cargo pants and boots. She still couldn't find her top and jacket.

"Where are they?" Savage demanded as she folded her arms over her chest.

"Where are what?" Nux asked cluelessly, unfolding her arms and gently sucking on her breasts.

"Nux, stop it and give me back my shirt!" Savage only half tried to push him away. He laughed, the first real laugh Savage had heard him laugh, and handed over her tank top and leather jacket. Savage mock frowned at him and pulled her shirt on.

"Let's go find out what the others are doing," Nux grabbed Savage's hand and pulled her from her car. Savage instantly pulled her shotgun from her holster when she saw a bunch of hooded strangers surrounding her friends.

Friends? Savage questioned in her head as she stepped closer. Since when were they my friends? I barely know them! Shrugging off the thought Savage shoved the shotgun into one of their heads and Nux held one of her knives to another one's throat.

"Woah, Savage calm down!" the Dag demanded. "They are our friends!" Hesitantly the shotgun was lowered. The hooded figures turned around. They were all women, their motorbikes parked a few metres away.

"Who are you?" Savage demanded, still unsure of these strangers.

"We are the last of the Many Mothers," the youngest answered, eyeing Savage warily.

"The Many Mothers?" Savage questioned as she holstered her gun. "Why aren't you at the Green Place?" Sadness crossed over all their faces. It was Toast who stepped forwards.

"The mud where we got stuck, the place with the crows..."

"That was the Green Place?" Savage whispered as Nux wrapped his arm around her shoulder.

"Immortan burned it to the ground and left all those he didn't want as wives to die," one of the women commented.

"Wait, where is Furiosa?" Nux asked. "Didn't she come from this place?" As one they looked over to a large sand dune, a large metal tower touching the sky behind it. Furiosa was on her knees, weeping to the sky, her metal arm discarded on the ground.

"Well what now?" Savage asked as she turned back to the large group. Capable's eyes were misted over.

"We leave, drive across the Big Nothing".
