The 'No-Drama' Policy

Prologue

          I could hear the faint sound of my name being screamed as I ran. Everything was passing in a blur but time felt like it was moving slower than ever. I made a quick turn around the corner. I was going to get out of here, somehow, someway. I just had too. 

For the last four years I had been here, I had played along. But I couldn't anymore. The lies and secrets ate away at me from the inside out. I knew at some point everything would have to be revealed. The truth would have to be told.

 I also knew that things weren't going to be the same anymore. Maybe, I was ok with it. Somewhere deep inside me I knew that I needed this. The relief that came with the truth. Though none of these secrets had been mine, I couldn't keep them in. I know everything.

 Like how Jackie was fooling around with Emma's boyfriend behind her back.

 Or how Kyle had bribed his way on the football team.

 It was hard to ignore the gossip in the halls. That with being more curious than I should had lead me to learning things I shouldn't know. But here we were now. A month from graduation.

 And everything was slowly changing.
