Erza's POV

Monday morning.

Again.

I'm silently wishing that today is Friday so I don't need to go to school tomorrow.

I sighed.

" That was a deep one. "

" A veeeerrryy deeep ooonnee. "

sarcasm is paved off on the voice that comes from behind. It stops me from taking a step.

" Hey..."

I smiled sheepishly as I turned towards her.

" Huh. "

she just snorted. She's my cousin slash best friend, Cherry. We've been classmates since our freshman year. And as we enter our final year as Seniors, we've been separated. Just when I need her the most.

" Why are you standing like a guard that couldn't take a sh*t in front of your house anyway? "

she asked and her eyebrow lifted automatically. Oh dear. Her trash talk and b*tchy attitude is a handful. I urge myself not to say anything so I don't get an earful.

" Well... It's kinda early so.. "

I'm struggling to find words that will stop her from firing another question

"... well... I'm kind of waiting for you... I think.. hehe "

Shoot.

It sounded like more of a question actually. And I don't know if I am near convincing. And who the hell am I convincing actually.

Her or me?

" That's. A. B*llsh*t."

She said dramatically on my face

" Why don't you just say that you want to skip class again so you don't have to deal with the b*tches? "

says the other b*tch.

" And oh, news flash, you never wait for me. We only see each other in class. Duh. "

She said in full sarcasm, crossed-arms and foot tapping on the ground.

" Oh, please."

I said almost a whisper as I rolled my eyes out of helplessness because she just stated the fact.

She stares at me with wide eyes showing disbelief. And yeah, a poker face. Oh she's looking at me with great distaste.

" Oh wow. You actually know how to shoot back? Why don't you do that to those st*pid id*ots instead of me? Tell them to fvck off and stop pestering you!"

and there she goes. I honestly think that she'll pass as a rapper. Haha laughing in my mind without an inch of humor. Kidding aside. She beats my Mom and Dad in terms of scolding me. And I'd rather be grounded for a year than to hear her preach, not that she's anything near holy.

Whenever she's on a roll, just like today, I wish that it's better for me to be a rock. Or a tree. Or do I need to act like I'm about to pass out?

T.T

" I don't know about you and your sh*tty kindness. Those st*pid cheerleaders are nothing. You could always stomp on them like cockroaches! "

holy-bloody mouth she could have.

" Just forget it. They would be tired and forget about me somehow. "

How I wished.

" You know what my dear cousin? I am trying so hard not to lay even my d*mn fingertips on them. Ya'know what I mean, right? But honestly, my patience is at its peak. The hell I care about the consequences if I could beat each and every one of them"

Agh! I just want to disappear right now. She's really getting annoyed. And I'm really scared of what she's capable of. She's a Karate black belter for whoever's sake. I don't know if I could stop her when hell let loose. She really can break bones. I can still remember that time when she broke a pervert limb to save a young girl. It was ruled as self-defense so everything works out.

After 30 years...

Kidding.

Just 30 minutes.

We arrived at Stanton Academy. We preferred to walk rather than use a car or take the subway or bus. Unless we're running late.

As we enter the main lobby, Cherry stops talking. She was suddenly serious. Probably, feeling the atmosphere. She's always guarding me whenever she's with me.

Me on the other hand is praying with all my might. Praying that they weren't at school. "As if" comes from the back of my head. And then I try so hard not to look around.

I don't really want to meet the eyes of the-

" Bitches..."
Cherry whispers under her breath.

I sighed.

Defeated.

" I think my guardian angel is absent today..."
