Erza's POV
I was already sitting next to him. My head bowed down. Both hands rest on the lap. Fidgeting.
Sighed.
Sighed.
Sighed.
"Uhm ..." I hesitate.
I look at him.
He was sitting crossed legged and crossed arms. And he was staring blankly at the blackboard now. Face unreadable.
"T-thank y-you ..." I said softly and shyly.
But he doesn't seem to hear me. Actually, he didn't even react. Even a little. Nothing. It just seems like he's a statue.
Handsome statue.
I sighed.
Again.
Okay.
I give up.
He won't talk to me. He has no intention of paying attention to me.
Is there anything new there? He never did talk to me. Ever. As in never. For real.
Can you believe that?
Soon after, our first subject teacher came in. My handsome seatmate doesn't move an inch. He didn't even greet. Isn't it cool?
As our teacher discussed the lesson, he was busy looking outside the window again and not paying attention. Then our teacher calls him to answer the question about the lesson he was discussing.
Genesis turns his head to face the teacher and answers without rising from his seat. Well, his answer is correct.
I told ya, he's smart.
The teacher leaves him alone. He never looked again at Genesis' direction until the discussion was over.
Poor professor.
When sir came out, another professor came. She's our advisor. She has an announcement.
" Class, if you don't have club activities today or anything, you can go home. The faculty members have an emergency meeting, so there are no classes. That's all. Bye!"
And she's gone. They shouted. Who wouldn't be happy, right? What else to do, eh, and everyone leaves the room individually.
I didn't stand.
It's still 30 minutes before Cherry's club activity ends. I'll just wait for her here.
My Genesis…- I mean my handsome seatmate rises from his seat. Oops, just dreaming.
He turned to face me.
"Rooftop."
Then he leaves me dumbfounded. But I managed not to let my mouth hang open.
WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT ???
I looked at the door wishing that he hadn't come out yet, but I only saw his back before he completely disappeared.
What now?
I sighed. Again and again and again.
I'm tense!
I reach for my phone inside my bag. I type a message and send it to Cherry. Then I put the phone back in the bag. I don't want to lose it, because I already lost my phone before, it was stolen from my pocket. I stand up. I left without my bag, I'll be back for a while for sure. I slowly walked out of the room. I'm going to the rooftop.
As I headed to the far end of the corridor where the stairs heading to the rooftop is, I needed to pass through several rooms. Naming some are, Music room, Science lab, the mixed arts gallery and the untouchable storage room.
That's untouchable for me because I've never been there before. At least a peek. Well, it's always padlocked.
I was about to take the first step on the stairs when I heard a girl's voice coming from the... I looked around and saw the storage room door slightly open.
I gulped. Scared.
" H-he-help m- me ..." as if it's a cue, I hurriedly ran to the door without thinking what was waiting there for me.
When I entered, I was welcomed by a girl's silhouette standing at the center of the room, that's when I also realized that it was dark inside. Then the light was switched on, but it didn't light up, it just continued blinking. But that was enough to make me realize who's the woman standing in front of me.
She's smiling wickedly at me.
Mitch!
Oh no! My brain screamed.
I stepped back. I turn around to face the direction where I came from but someone grabs my wrist. I was about to shout but someone covered my nose and mouth with a wet cloth. I tried to struggle but they were strong. Until I gradually felt dizzy. Then I realized that there's something in the cloth covering me.
Ativan!
I knew I was going to lose consciousness but I still tried to escape. I tried to tear away my wrist from his strong hold.
Yeah, I'm certain he was a guy.
And he's way too strong.
But before I could close my eyes, I heard something snap.
Then darkness follows.
