When Calum Meets Caleb

Calum's POV

I took a walk with Gizmo this morning. Nothing so significant but I was actually thinking about that kid. It's been exactly a month since I saw him at the mall. Funny thing is, it's like I saw everything about me in him. He likes chocolates as much I do, well not exactly the brand. He talks a lot like me. Grrr I don't like this feeling, it's like I have some sort of a connection with that kid. This is crazy >..<

I took Gizmo in my hands while going home when I saw THAT KID going out of a coffee shop and is about to cross the street. I didn't know why I hurriedly went to him and forget about Gizmo, I know he's a good dog and knows how to stay where he is at. I think I just saw bicycle running towards THAT BOY and I think I need to do the right thing? When he was about to run, I quickly grabbed and hugged him so he won't be hurt. Luckily, I saved and put him down just to figure out he isn't responding to my questions.

"Hey kid! Are you okay? Were you hurt? Tell me," I couldn't stop asking him. I'm so concerned about him. I think he was still in shock. He's not responding either.

"Caleb! Why did you do that? I'm worried! Thank God you're not hurt! *sniff*" I think 'twas his mother. She embraced the kid and started crying. I wondered how it feels to have a mom, like her.

"Mommy!!! WAAAHHHH WAHHHH WAAAAHHH" the boy started crying. I think he's not gonna stop crying.

Was it Debbie the kid told me? I'm not really sure. I kinda forgot her name eh. She looked at me and I think she murmured something like, "Thank you"? and she smiled.

"Baby, don't do that again okay? Mommy won't do that again too. Say something," she faced his son and told those. He kid nodded trying not to make sobs.

He faced me and said, "You saved my life, Mister. Thank You!" he opened his arms and spread them to me. I tried to lower down so could be level and he hugged me. He's such a sweet boy...

After hugging me, he said, "Hey Mister, you look familiar! Are you the guy I bumped at the mall a month ago?" ... and an intelligent kid.

"I don' think so," might as well tease him. Shhh...

"It was you! Don't lie to me it's bad, my mom said if you lie, you'll go to hell when you die!" and he's such an obedient one. I looked at his 'mom' who just raised her brows.

"Okay, you got me there. Yes, it was me. Happy?" I saw the boy smiled so wide and I just noticed his teeth were covered with, perhaps, dark chocolates.

"I think I know now why he ran," I told Debbie. She just giggled. I don't know but I think I just loved hearing her giggle. This is so gay.

"I bet you know," she smiled and took the kid from me. "I think we should go, it's getting late. Thank you for what you've done earlier,"

I don't know how I'd feel getting the idea that they're already going. I just get a feeling that I'd tell, "Let me take you home."
