A/N  Thank you to whoever commented! I write for you guys!  Friendly reminder that werewolves have pack bonds and can communicate mentally!

North's POV

Ugh when do we get a brake? And why the fuck do I have to be the one to carry all of these assholes' backup clothes?

I heave a mental sigh. I loved Gabe and all, but I sure the fuck didn't love his thoughts.

Gabe. Shut the fuck up. I growl through our bond.

And as I recall, Mr. Coleman, you won't let the rest of us so much as touch the clothes. Mr. Blackbourne comments dryly. He sounds as weary as the rest of us.

We were going on our tenth day of traversing the woods in our wolf forms. Ten fucking days of non-stop daydreams about artery clogs and heart attacks from Luke, humming of Vivaldi from Victor, complaints from Gabe, counting from Kota, and shitty puns from Silas and Doc.

I was about to beat my head against one of the trees we were running by.

We had all thought it would be a good idea to break away and form our own pack when Mr. B started showing signs of dominance characteristically present in alphas. And while totally worth it, none of us could have predicted the hell it would be trying to establish our own domain.

Either way, Mr. B. I'm fucking exhausted. When can we stop? Gabe whines.

Yeah, guys. I'm starving. Luke's voice rings in my head and I snort.

Luke, when are you not hungry?

But this time my stomach is practically eating itself! He huffs dramatically. I look over to see his wolf stumble sideways. I roll my eyes.

You're both pathetic.

Oy! I don't see your fat ass hauling anything!

I refrain from taking a swipe at Gabe with my paw. The only fat ass I see here is Luke.

Hey! Not cool baby bro! Luke's nickname grates on my nerves and I lift my lip in a snarl.

Enough! Mr. B inserts his alpha voice, making the rest of us cower. Damn the guy was scary when he wanted to be.

We can break here for half an hour. Kota relents, coming to a stop. Gabe plops on the ground immediately with wolfy sigh. Luke rolls over on his back, panting happily. I'll never understand how he manages to grin even in wolf form. Sorta creepy actually.

So, Mr. B  Nathan begins, plopping down near a tree. When do you think we'll settle-

His freezes suddenly, cocking his head and sniffing deeply. A second later we all smell it too.

Vampire. Silas growls. Everyone tenses, readying themselves for attack.

Wait guys, we can't just attack unprovoked in another alpha's domain. Victor reasons.

Fuck that. I smell human too. Nathan's wolf paces restlessly. We all inhale deeply. The scent of a human, tinged with something sweet and flowery invades my senses.

Most likely female. Close. Probably in a clearing a couple hundred feet west. The others nod in agreement with my deduction.

Well gentlemen, I believe we have a bird to save. Mr. Blackbourne pours command into his words and we race off towards the scent, hoping we aren't too late.

XXX

I was correct in assuming there was a clearing. We creep towards the meadow, not wanting to give up our positions just yet. The individuals in the clearing come into view and I halt suddenly.

Her back is turned to me, but I can clearly see when he leans forward, licking her chest. I can tell my brothers are trying just as hard as I am to hold back the snarls.

But what catches me off guard completely is the fact that she's still standing there. No running, no screaming, no cowering in terror. What the hell?

Wait, you don't think she likes it? Silas hedges. That she's purposefully-

No. Kota interrupts. Look at her hands. He's right. They're clenched in tiny fists. She doesn't seem terrified for her life though, just... pissed.

I believe we have enough reason to attack. Mr. B begins. Mr. Taylor Jr. and Mr. Korba will remain at the forefront. The elder Mr. Taylor will quietly make his way to the right to cut off any escape. Mr. Griffin and Mr.- He is cut off as the breeze shifts suddenly and the leech's head whips towards us.

Well, shit. There goes that.

Forget maneuvering, get out there now. Don't freak out the bird! Kota commands. We all fall in line quickly, creeping out of the tree line into the clearing. The leech suddenly whips the girl around so that she's standing as a shield in front of him.

Fucking coward. I growl.

Then I actually register the girl's face, nearly stopping me in my tracks. Cascading blonde hair frames a perfect heart-shaped face. My eyes meet beautiful green ones, currently wide with disbelief and fright.

God I could get lost in those eyes. I think I hear from one of my brothers distantly, but my eyes are now trailing down to perfectly plump and delicious lips, parted and gasping.

Then my eyes take in the redness now imprinted on her chin, the arm now securely wrapped around her neck. I can't stop the snarl this time, as it rips out of my throat.

Her green eyes widen even more in terror and I curse myself for being the one to put it there.

How do we wanna do this?  Luke asks grimly, as we creep closer to them.

I watch as the leech whispers something in her ear, looking gleeful.

"What the hell are you talking about?" The girl yells furiously, panic evident in her eyes. We pause, unsure how to proceed. The way she's acting, it's as if she is familiar with the bloodsucker.

Guys, maybe we made a mistake. Am I the only one who thinks they look like they know each other? I don't think he's gonna hurt her. Victor shifts to my right, seemingly uncomfortable.

Maybe- Gabe begins, but he's cut off when the leech suddenly shifts his weight, tossing the girl like she's nothing.

We watch in horror as she sails off the cliff. Without a second thought I shift out of wolf form and leap in after her.

A/N. Tada! First preview of the boys. Thoughts?
