Meredith

When I wake up,  I'm still snuggled up into Eliot with my head resting on his chest and his arm wrapped around my body holding me close. I groan as I stretch out my legs, catching the attention of Eliot. We're the only ones in the living room now.

"Hey sleeping beauty. How are you feeling?" He asks softly as he moves my hair away from my eyes.

"Much better actually." I smile up at him before glancing around the empty room.

"Good. Are you hungry?"

"Where is everyone?"

"Chase and Emily went out once Amber left. It's just us." I sit up as Eliot stands up and stretches.

"Amber has been already?" I ask frowning. Wasn't she meant to be checking me over?

"She checked you over and then left about twenty minutes ago."

"But I was asleep." Eliot chuckles at my obvious statement.

"We didn't want to wake you. She said the baby sounded healthy and normal. But she'll probably come over during the week to check you properly."

"Oh."

"Now, how about some food?" Eliot walks out of the living room and I stand up to follow him.

When I enter the kitchen, Eliot is already at the fridge pulling out all different items of food. I move to sit down at the table and watch as he goes around the kitchen collecting everything he needs before he turns on the cooker.

"How does an omelette sound?" I smile.

"It sounds lovely. You can cook?"

"I can. My mother taught me, she thought it would be a good life skill to have."

"She's a smart woman."

"What about your mother?" My smile falters at his question.

"Um well, she did teach me a few things before she died... I just wish I had longer with her."

Eliot turns around frowning and looking a little guilty.

"I'm sorry Meredith." I shrug it off. It's not his fault.

Eliot finishes cooking and the amazing smell of cheese and bacon fills the room. He places down a plate in front of me, my stomach grumbling at the sight of it. Eliot chuckles as he takes the seat opposite me with his own omelette and motions for me to start. I don't waste any time in digging into the delicious omelette, grinning as the melted cheese oozes out from it as I cut it. I take a bite and instantly moan. This is the best omelette I've ever tasted.

"Oh my god... this is amazing!" Eliot laughs as he watches me.

"I'm glad you like it."

We both eat in silence after that except for the occasional moan of satisfaction from me. I'm enjoying it too much to be embarrassed by the sound effects I keep making. Once we're done eating, I offer to clean up but Eliot won't have any of it and insists that I just relax. Honestly, this man is a true gentleman. Handsome and chivalrous. Could he get any better? I sign dreamily. Why can't Jack be this attentive? And then it hits me. JACK!
