CATHY'S POV*Beep. Beep.*
"Ugggh.." I groaned sleepily as I rolled out of bed and turned off my alarm clock. It was time to get ready for hell. AKA college. Luckily my college was close so I didn't have to move out of my parent's house. Although, they hated me. Everyone hated me, heck I even hated me. I didn't want to leave my room, it was the only thing in my life that was still peaceful. So I sat there. Still. Lifeless. Wishing I didn't know that my mom would yell to me in a few seconds making sure that I was awake. I slowly pulled myself up and changed. My outfit consisted of a black loose tank top with splattered paint all over it, a loose white cardigan over it, some white highwaisted shorts, and white and black sandals.
"Catherine! Are you up?" As I expected my mother shouted up the stairs.
"Yeah, Mom." I replied. I put on some light make up and put my golden-brown hair into a messy bun then grabbed my phone, charger, backpack, wallet, and my keys.
"I'm leaving Mom! Bye, love you!" I walked out the door and my glasses' case fell out of my bag. I needed glasses but I never wore them. They were absolutely ridiculous on me. The only time I wore them when I drove and I only drove when I had to. I sat in my little blue Volkswagen Bug convertible and began to drive. I had 30 minutes before school so decided to go to Starbucks and get in some last minute studying for my genetics quiz.
When I pulled up to Starbucks, it didn't look too crowded, which meant I might actually get to school on time. I walked up to the counter and ordered a caramel chocolate mocha frappe with whip and a chocolate cake pop, I know healthy breakfast right. I sat at a table and pull out my genetics notes and began to study. The Starbucks filled quickly with in two minutes. Literally the only seat left was the one across from me.
Suddenly, a voice asked "Is anyone sitting here?" I looked up, stunned. It's was a boy, about my age. He was taller, skinny with ice blue eyes and black hair. He was hot. I mean really hot. I finally pointed to that chair wondering if that's what he meant. He softly laugh and nodded. I shook my my head, but then realized that meant he was going to sit there. Maybe he won't talk to me. Maybe he'll just drink his coffee and be on his phone or something. Nope, I was wrong.
"Hi!" He said, someone was having a good morning. "Hi.." I said softly as I sunk down in my chair. "What's your name?" He asked. "Catherine," I replied. "Well good morning Cathy. I'm Asher. Do any of your friends call you Cathy?" "No." I answered. "Why not?" He asked curiously. "'Cause, to tell you the truth, I don't have any." He still had a smile on his face even after that one. "Well, Cathy, what's your number?"
"Why?" I said confused.
"Because now you have a friend." He replied with a smirk.
Man, he was now about 2000x more hot. He was adorable, funny, and really, really nice. He was a piece of perfection.
ASHERS POV
It felt like a good morning to go to Starbucks, so I changed into an old t-shirt and some khaki shorts, grabbed my keys and headed out the door. I wanted to ask if anybody wanted anything, but as I expected everyone was still asleep. I got in my car and headed off. I was still a little sleepy so I turned on the music to make sure I didn't fall asleep. No crashing today.
I pulled up to the Starbucks that was closest to my house and got out of the car. It sure was packed. I hope there were seats left because I don't want to have to sit in my car. I planned on staying out all day. It was warm enough to do it so I would. I walked in and ordered a chocolate mocha. When they were finally done with it I grabbed and tried to find a seat.
There was literally one seat left. It was across from a girl. Maybe a year or so younger than me. She was beautiful, stunning. She seemed so focused on her work. She seemed to be studying or something like that. She was so peaceful it seemed like a crime when I asked if anyone was sitting. She looked up and just stared for a minute. Probably still focused on her work. The book next to her had Genetics in big letters on the front. I assumed that was what she was studying. She pointed slowly to the chair across from her. I let out a little laugh and nodded. She nodded back and I sat down. I didn't want to break her focus, but I couldn't resist talking to her. Who could? She was a piece of perfection.
