Blithe's P.O.V.

"Where are we going, Calix?" I asked again. His hands covered my eyes, blinding me.

I felt him vibrating behind me, his laughter shaking though his chest. "It's a surprise, doll." he said whilst leaning in to kiss my cheek.

"Calix, you know that I don't like having to wait- especially for surprises." I scoffed jokingly.

"You'll love it. I swear." he said, still trying to convince me not to rip off his hands.

I pouted, "Calix." I groaned.

I felt his hot breath trailing down my neck, "Shush," he whispered while nipping at my neck playfully.

I reached back and slapped his chest, making him laugh once again.

"Okay, we're here." he said finally. He dropped his hands slowly, letting my eyes adjust to the different lighting.

"Calix." I breathed out. I turned and gawked at him, surprised that he would actually do this for me.

"Happy birthday, Blithe." he said, a shy smile appearing on his lips.

I moved closer to him, pushing my lips onto his gently. We moved in sync, letting our lips melt into one another's. When we pulled away, I was out of breath. I pulled away from him, spinning around. My emerald green dress brushed against my legs, my black hair flew in my face. I finally stopped, taking in what he had done for me.

He had taken me to the tennis courts that were located outside of our school, decorating it beautifully. He had taken me to The Cage, the lone court that wasn't attached to any of the other bays of courts. He had laced through some of the fencing with white Christmas lights, a thin see-through cloth was entertwined between the lights and the fence. A single round table was placed out in the middle of the court, a single rose in a white vase placed in the very center. White balloons littered the ground, white confetti were sprinkled all over the ground too. A small stereo was placed by the gate, our favorite songs seeping out of the bass.

"Calix," I breathed out again. He had moved next to me again, slowly leading me over to the table. He pulled out my chair, letting me sit down. He sat across from me, reminding me of the shy boy he was last year. "I can't believe you would even do this for me." I whispered, still shocked.

"Geez, you make me sound like a bad boyfriend." he said while scratching the back of his head.

"Well, you're just not the jaw-dropping romantic." I said teasingly. I leaned over and pushed his dirty blonde hair out of his huge blue eyes.

"Well, I have to admit something." he whispered.

"What?" I asked, a small playful grin playing on my lips.

"I did have some help with this." he whispered, a blush creeping up his cheeks.

"I knew that already." I said jokingly.

He pretended to be hurt, "Well then." he sniffed.

"Cry baby." I scoffed jokingly again.

"Well, I guess you don't get to eat tonight." he said threatening me.

"You actually brought food too?" I asked teasingly. "I thought you were just going to starve me."

"You serious think very highly of me." he said whilst pushing his blonde locks out of his face again.

"Well, last time I did, you got pouty with me." I said whilst pouting at him.

"You sometimes expect too much of me." he muttered.

I dropped my pout, "Calix, I love you." I whispered. I dropped my gaze down to my hands, which were twisting my infinity sign ring.

"I love you too, Blithe." he whispered back, not a beat behind.

I felt flustered. "Are you sure?" I whispered.

"Look at me, Blithe." I heard him say, I peeked at him through my eyelashes. "Look at me, so that our eyes actually connect." I heard him sigh. I shook my head, my black hair brushing over my face. He reached over, his hand gingerly holding my face up to his. "I will always love you, no matter what." he breathed out.

"Calix, I love you so much that it hurts." I breathed out.

"I know, baby." he said. His lips brushed against mine, making my head spin.

We were eating spagetti, the scent still made my mouth water. I looked up, when I heard Calix slurping the noodle. I laughed, whilst reaching over to wipe some of the sauce off of his sunburnt nose.

"And as the world comes to an end, I'll be here to hold your hand. Cause you're my king, and I'm your lionheart." Nanna sang out in the background. I grinned at Calix, only to recieve the same cheeky grin. He remembered my favorite song and one of my favorite bands.

"You are always surprising me." I murmured when he pulled me up to slow dance. I rest my head against the nook of his neck, whilst he rest his chin on my head. My arms were drapped around his neck, holding him close to me. His hands were holding my waist against him protectively, as if he never wanted me to leave.

"This is to make up for never taking you to prom." he whispered.

"Not to ruin the moment, but I'm not old enough for prom." I whispered back. "It was your prom, not mine."

I heard him chuckle, "I guess you're right."

"I'm always right." I murmured into his chest.

"I know." He said, he gently rubbed circles into my hips with his fingers.

"Calix," I breathed out.

"Mm?"

"I loved this. This is probably one of the best days of my life." I whispered.

"Good," I heard him whisper.
