King Fredricks POV (Two hours earlier)
I loved my daughter dearly, but she just couln't get her head screwed on straight. I glanced at her, and I saw her talking to a suitor... she seemed to enjoying herself. I didn't recognize the young man, but that was alright. He was charming my Annaa, and that was what mattered.
I suddenly heard a loud noise, and noticed it was techno music. Not to mention is was coming from Marina's cell phone. How inappropriate. That Marina was a bad influence on Anna. She walks out of the room.
I glanced back at Anna, who seemed nervous for some reason. I never would understand that girl. Suddenly she stood, excusing herself to use the restroom.
When she left, I approached the man she was speaking to. He immediatly stood and bowed. "Your highness." he said. Very nice manners. I thought. "Your name?" I asked. "My name is Harold, sir. It is an honor." He answered
I smiled. "Yes, of course. So, you seemed rather friendly with my daughter." Harold shook his head. "No sir. We were merely making conversation. She then excused herself to use the restroom."
I internally rolled my eyes at his modesty. "You must know how big of a deal it was though that you were making conversation though, correct?"
"No sir." He answered. So, I decided to enlighten him. "Anna can barely stand to look at suitors, much less talk to them. So you see, making conversation with her is quite a feat. You seem like a very respectable young man. Plus, I know you are of high royal ranking to even be here, at this feast."
He paused. "Y-Yes your highness. O-of course." He managed out. "So," I continued, "When she returns, I want you to continue making conversation with her. I want you to get friendly with her, and I want to you to marry her. She needs a husband. You are here, hoping to seek Anna's hand, am I right?"
"Yes sir." He replied. "Good." I smiled. "Now, she should be back any minute. Go sit down, and make yourself look good." He shook his head. "Sir, I do not wish to marry her so soon, I think-" "That is an order." I interrupted him. "You will marry my daughter, and you will do it soon. Now go sit."
He looked appalled that I would push him around like that. Oh, well. What's important is that my Anna would finally be getting married, whether she liked it or not. I smiled to myself.
Then, I walked back over to my seat and sat down. Suddenly, the doors of the dining hall burst open. Two of my guards, and one of my security camera monitors ran in. "Your highness!" They were yelling. "King Fredrick! Its the princess. She's been killed."
****
I shook my head in utter despair as I watched the security camera man replay the tape. The tape of my only daughter's assassination. No. No, I could not believe it. It wasn't real. My sweet, beautiful Anna. No, she couldn't be dead. She just couldn't.
I punched the table. I am aware kings are supposed to be calm and orderly at all times, but I just couldn't take it. I lost my wife twenty years ago, and went into a depression. Heck, that depression is still going on.
Except now, it was my daughter. The one thing I held closest to my heart, and she was gone. No, I couldn't believe it. I had to see the crime scene for myself.
I walked over to the place where the security cameras said my Anna was killed, and winced. There was blood everywhere. I saw her necklace on the ground. It was really true. Anna was gone.
Stilll, my brain wouldn't function properly. I refused to believe it, and I don't know why. I saw the tape, I see the blood and necklace, but I still couldn't grasp it."Gaurds! Sreneta groonds hrendgret dallispa tonwabt!" I said in Talm, my native language. When I wasn't thinking straight, I couldn't help but speak Talm.
