"There you are standing with all your friends, so I wait 'til you're alone again and the minutes feel like eternity."
Ross stands from afar, staring at the beautiful brunette who's surrounded by her group of friends. Ross had, finally, plucked up the courage to confront her with these feelings of his. He taps his foot, waiting patiently for her friends to leave. This moment had to be special and it should be only theirs to cherish.
"All these words buried inside my heart, every step feels like the hardest part, but the last 6 feet are gonna kill me."
Her friends finally walk away, leaving Laura skimming through her phone while waiting for her ride. He breathes out and walks towards her. This is it. At least he can now let all the feelings he's hidden for so long. As he nears her, he begins to feels nervous. His stride slows down and his palms become sweaty. Nervousness kicks through him and he begins to doubt himself . He's about to turn back around but he hears her sweet voice call out his name. There's no going back now.
"So just take this chance. I've got it all planned. I'll pick you up at 8 and we can drive around take you to the beach and we can head downtown while you hold my hand. We'll park it, lay down on the hood of my car, listen to the airplanes as we count the stars. Tonight I'll be your man and tomorrow we can do it again."
"Hey, Ross." She smiles at him, causing his heart to beat 10x faster.
"Hey," he takes in a breath. He had to do it now or he would never be able to, "Are you free tonight?"
"Yeah. Why?" She asks, sending him another one of her beautiful smiles.
"Will you go on a date with me?"
"Yes, I will."
"Great. I'll pick you up at eight."

Ross waits outside her door, holding a bouquet of flowers. He feels nervous yet excited as he can finally take her out on a date. He got it all planned out and he felt as if this night would be perfect. He'd decided to make it simple but romantic. They'd drive around, walk on the beach, listen to the airplanes and count the stars. Tonight he'd be hers and she'd be his and maybe not just for tonight but forever.
"Ross?"
His head snaps up, hearing her soft voice. He gapes at her, her beauty silencing him. She looks gorgeous with her long, dark blue dress and her lightly curled hair.
"You look stunning." He smiles at her lightly tinted cheeks, handing her the flowers.
"Thank you." She blushes at the compliment before placing the flowers inside.
"Should we go?" He reaches out for her hand, smiling.
"Yeah, let's go." She grabs his hand, interlocking their fingers.
"If I could give you the world tonight, then I would, I'd still give you all my time. And I'd be rich 'cause love is everything."
They walk silently, holding hands. The sun begins to set and soon they would have to return home. The moment is perfect. It's just them two, alone on the beach, and the only sound is the waves.
"I really like you, Laura." Ross turns to face her, admiring her effortless beauty.
"I really like you too." She smiles up at him, happy to finally tell him what she feels.
They continue walking, smiling at the fact that they both felt the same way. Nothing can make this night better.
Well, maybe just one thing.
"Let's take this moment, it's ours so own it. So come with me, don't let it go to waste. No you don't wanna m-miss out on us. I'm telling you regrets don't fade away."
Ross smiles down at Laura. It's now twelve at midnight and the lovesick teens stand outside Ross's car. She stares at him, getting lost in his gorgeous, hazel eyes. He stares back, thinking how beautiful she is. The moonlight shines on her, illuminating her flawless face, making her seem more attractive. Or maybe it was just the event that occurs next.
They begin to lean in and soon their lips connect into a blissful kiss. They pull away, breathing heavily. He places his forehead on hers, their eyes still shut. You can hear their fast paced breathing which soon slows down. They lean back, open their eyes and smile at each other. This moment will never be forgotten.
"Laura, will you be mine?"
"Yes."
"Kiss me, again?" He asks her, quietly.
"Okay." She whispers, joining their lips together for the second time.
"So just take this chance. I've got it all planned. I'll pick you up at 8 and we can drive around, take you to the beach and we can head downtown while you hold my hand. We'll park it, lay down on the hood of my car, listen to the airplanes as we count the stars. Tonight I'll be your man and tomorrow we can do it again."
Ross lays down on his bed, feeling content. He finally got the girl and couldn't have been more happier. He checks his phone to see she had sent a text. He replies back instantly.
"Hey, I had fun, maybe tomorrow we can do it again?"
"I'll pick you up at eight."
