Chapter 5 Bad News

It was my third day in office and till now it was going great.I was informed to deliver these copies to Mr Miller.So here I was standing in front of his door. 

I thought his room was same where my interview was conducted but no it was close to our cabin of blocks.

I knocked the door.

"Come in."

I went inside his office and he gave me a smile showing his dimples;he asked he me sit down.

I took a look at his office first thing I noticed was the huge window and the scenery outside.It was amazing.The wall were a combination of white and red.There were paintings and I noticed all were of the same type green forests and grasslands.

I sat down and he welcomed me;asked me if I was comfortable here or if there was any problem;I told him everything was ok and it was amazing here.

"So your supervisor told me that you have been doing great.I am glad that I selected you."

"Thank you sir."

"You know it was my first time interviewing some one"He confessed.

"Really?"

"Yes,and I am happy you are here this office needs something new.You are different."

"Thank you?" I didn't know whether it was compliment or not.

"Your welcome, it was a compliment." He said smiling.

"So you got any plans for lunch its almost lunch time."

Since last three days lunch was the biggest problem for me here.I was always eating alone;it was not like people here were bad or anything but they had their own groups and no one invited me for lunch and I could not invite myself in their little group so I was alone and I do not like to be alone.

"Yes I will go to canteen."I said sadly.
"Probably alone."I murmered but he heard me.

"Ok so you can join me today I don't have company either."

"But..."

"Trust me food there is awesome!"he interjected smilingly and it also made me smile.

We were eating Chinese because I loved noodles and Mr Miller was right it was really awesome.

"You like noodles very much right." he asked.

I was munching the noodles and nodded smiling with mouth filled with noodles.

He chuckled.

"Tell me something about yourself Sarah?" he asked me with light shining in his eyes.

"There is nothing interesting about me.I am very boring person."I said chuckling.

"Oh come on don't be like this."

"Seriously Mr Miller..."

"Shane" he cut me off and I gave him puzzled look.

"Call me Shane."

"Ok."

I did not want to argue with him and I was comfortable around him so I decided to call him Shane plus it was a nice name.

We talked some more and he was very nice I mean he was so high in rank than me but still did not consider me less.He talked to me as my friend and I got to know that he had two siblings and I also told him about Kate and my other friends.He liked to talk very much so I knew we'll get along very well because when I get comfortable around someone I talked non stop.Literally.Soon it was to time for heading to work.
