(Sawyer's POV)
I don't know what caused me to make that truce with him. Maybe it was the drugs running through my system to numb the pain. Maybe it was my sickness. Whatever the reason, it's kinda nice to have a friend instead of an enemy.
We had searched through the Netflix for something to watch and with much debate we decided on Friends. We sat there laughing and watching, I was propped up on some pillows as was he.
Soon enough I started to find myself shivering even though I felt extremely warm.
"Alex?" I said weakly.
"Yeah?" He turned to me worriedly noticing my tone of voice.
"I think I have a fever." I said in almost a whisper.
He rushed about to get a thermometer and proceeded to check for my temperature once he got it.
"104.6, oh my God! You're burning up!" He rushed to get some ibuprofen to break the fever and some blankets.
The next few hours were a blur, and I faded in and out of consciousness, with Alex hovering and catering to my every need the entire time. I threw up at one point and after that I passed out until a dark oblivion.
