Chapter Thirteen: Three Words

I sat back in my chair, astonished.

"What?" I asked.

He looked uncomfortable as I questioned him.

"I have to leave London for a while. I'm sorry, I know it's bad timing and-" he explained.

"Why?" I interrupted him.

"Management, it's out of my hands I'm so sorry. I really wanted to stay and support you but..." He trailed off.

I felt so upset. He said he didn't want to hurt me or ruin any chance of me succeeding in the X Factor. How was him leaving going to help?

"Say something?" Oritse pleaded.

"I think I should go". I started getting up from my seat.

"No! Don't leave, please?" He grabbed my hand.

I sat back down.

"When are you leaving?" I asked.

"Two days". He replied, looking sad.

This is just great. I really don't know how I am going to make it through the competition without him. He just helps me though it, knowing I won't see him after a show, or being able to celebrate with him is going to be so hard. I've really never felt like this about someone before.

"Are you mad?" He asked me.

"Sort of! I'm more upset. I wish you weren't going. I want you to be with me through the competition. Now you're not going to be here till the show is almost over". I replied.

"I know. I'm sorry. I really am, babe. But can we please make the most of tonight and tomorrow before I have to leave on Tuesday?" Oritse asked me.

"Of course we can." I replied, still feeling hurt.

He smiled a small smile at me and grabbed my hand leading me to his lounge. We sat in the sofa, half watching the TV and I snuggled up to him while he wrapped his big arms around me protectively.

"I'm going to miss you so much." He muffled into my hair.

"I'm going to miss you more." I teased.

Then he pulled me round so I was facing him properly. I smiled at him thinking he was going to kiss me, but instead he said three words. Three words that changed everything.

"I love you."
