Chapter Fourteen: Long Night

"What?" I managed to squeak out.

How can he tell me he loved me then leave me for a couple of months?! What am I supposed to do now? I stand up and walk over to the window to get some air. I can hear his footsteps behind me and he stops when he is about a meter away from me.

"Babe?" He said.

I'm being ridiculous. Why am I feeling like this though? Maybe I wanted him to tell me he loved me not when he was about to leave. I turn around to face him and he is looking worried.

"I'm sorry. I just didn't expect you to say that. I mean, I hoped you would, but not before you were about to leave me." I explained.

He nodded and walked closer to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into a hug.

"I'm sorry. I wish more than anything I wasn't being made to go and I wanted you to know how I felt before I left." He muffled into my hair.

I felt bad about making him upset now. I guess non of this was really his fault.

"I love you too." I whispered.

He pulled us apart so he could look at me.

"Seriously? I didn't think you felt as-" he started saying but I leaned up and kissed him to stop him talking. When we pulled apart he said "I love you" and smirked.

"I love you too." I replied, smiling.

"I should probably get you home, you have all day rehearsal tomorrow don't you?" He asked.

Yes, I did. I wanted to stay with Reesh for longer but I was tired, and I have 5 days till the lives and we haven't even got our song yet.

"C'mon." He said as he grabbed his keys.

"My necklace!" I said going back to get it. I was going to need this to get me through the next two months.

We walked out and got in the car and Oritse drove me back to the flat. I started falling asleep until I felt the car slow down.

"What's going on?" I asked sleepily.

"Ran outta petrol." He sighed.

I looked out the window to notice we were close to my flat now.

"I need to get you home, you will freeze to death." He said sounding annoyed.

"I can walk? It's just down the street? Or I can stay with you while you fill up the car?" I said.

We were so close to the petrol station. Oritse sighed and agreed to let me walk the last bit home. He gave me his jacket to keep me warm, gave me a kiss and promised to see me tomorrow night. I started walking down the road on my way home when I saw a couple of lads hanging round, drinking. I walked fast with my head down, it was dark and late, I'm sure they won't even see me. I was seconds from the flat, I would be fine. I got closer and closer till they were two meters away and I noticed they had blocked my way through the path. They had noticed me. I got closer until I physically had to stop. They were all laughing and wolf whistling and sounded very, very drunk. I felt one of them grabbed my arm and pull me towards him. The others copied and wouldn't let me go.

"Let go!" I shouted. But they just laughed.

They grabbed my bag emptying it onto the path and stashing my cash and phone, and my necklace.

"Please! Please stop!" I cried.

They just laughed and I felt one of them touch me making me jump.

Suddenly a car sped down the road past me then stopped. And a figure jumped out of his car running towards me. It was Oritse.

He came straight up to one of the guys the had his hands on me and hit him.
