Skie’s Point Of View:
Where am I? I stood up and looked around remembering what happened last night. Fucking asshole. The bedroom door opened and a woman walked in. “Hello, I’m Jenna, Matty’s sister. I brought you some clean clothes and there’s pancakes cooking downstairs.”, she said walking over to me. “If you need anything let me know hun.”, she walked out of the room and shut the door. I unfolded the clothes she gave me and stared at them for a second. Hmm..I like this girl, she’s got good taste in clothes. I slid the ripped up black skinny jeans on which were a bit too big, and put the Pierce The Veil T-shirt on. I sighed and opened the door. The smell of pancakes serenaded my nose. They smell amazing..but I really don’t think I should eat. I’m fat enough. 103 lbs,
I heard the toilet flush from down the hall, okay someone’s coming. I can’t just stand here in the middle of the hallway doing absolutely nothing. I tried to walk back into the room from whence I came, but I got knocked over. “Oh, crap. Skie, I’m sorry I didn’t mean to knock you over.”, Matty said as he helped me up, My eyes met his and we just stared at each other for a second. “Alright, well let’s go downstairs and eat some breakfast!”, he grabbed my hand and basically dragged me down the steps. We sat down at the little island in the kitchen and his mom plopped some pancakes onto two plates for us. She set my plate down in front me and handed me the syrup and a glass of chocolate milk.
As I shovelled in the last bite of my pancakes and drinking my chocolate milk, Matty’s mom put another plate of pancakes in front of me, “Oh, no thank you. I’m not hungry anymore.”, I lied. “Dear, are you sure? You look awfully hungry.” I nodded and she put the rest of the pancakes in the fridge incase I wanted them later. “So I guess I’ll drive you home, I gotta go to work soon.”, he said looking at me. Shit..I can’t go home. I don’t have a home anymore. I was living with Grayson..”Actually? Could You drop me off at the Westbury Beach? My mom said to meet her there…I’m sorry about the distance, but it’s like...40 minutes away from here.”, I said hoping he won’t mind. He nodded and his sister came through the front door. Matty grabbed the keeps off the counter: Jenna came up to me. She hugged me..I’m not sure why,but she did it.
When we got to the beach he gave me a quick hug and drove away. Well. I have no idea what I’m going to do now, and I don’t know where to go. I walked along the beach for a while just thinking and wishing I were dead. It wouldn’t matter if I were dead or alive anyways. No one gives a shit about me other than my dad and I haven’t seen him in years. I’ve sent him a few letters, but he never writes back to me. He never calls me back either. Probably because of his new wife, Veronika. She’s never liked me and as soon as my dad and her got married they moved away. I pulled out my phone and dialed my dad’s number. It rang a few times and then he answered. “Daddy?”, I burst out in tears. I can’t believe he picked up. “Yes, Pumpkin? Are you alright?”, he said in a concerned tone. “Yes, Daddy. I’m fine”, I paused. “I miss you so much, can I come and live with you and Veronika in New Zealand? Mom kicked me out..It’s a really long story and I’ll explain later if you want. But I have nowhere else to go..”, I said with tears streaming down my cheeks. “Yeah, sure honey. You still have your credit card right? Pay for the plane ticket with it and I’ll pay it off for you.I think the next flight leaves in about three hours so that should give you enough time to pack your things and go to the airport.”, he said. “Thank you, Dad. I love you.” I hung up.
Well all I need is a ride to the airport. “Miss? Are you alright?”, a little girl about eight years old asked me. “Oh, yes, I’m fine.”, I said wiping away tears. The little girl ran off and I sat down on the sand, picking it up and letting it run through my fingers. “Are you sure you’re alright?”. That voice doesn’t sound like the little girl. I looked behind me and Grayson was standing there. I glared at him for a second and then got up and ran away, crying harder than before, I ran all the way back to my mother’s house and she wasn’t home. I ran up to my room and pulled out my razor blade and dug it into my arm making deep cuts all over my left arm. I can’t fucking do this, I need to get the fuck out of this shit ass place. I found my duffel bag and threw a bunch of clothes into it, along with my blade, phone, a few other items I’d need. I grabbed a long sleeve shirt and a pair of shorts putting them on and zipping up my bag. I’m out of here.
