Chapter 3: A New Life

Recap:

Opening my mind link I heard everyone but focused on one person. Will.  Usually since we are mates we can feel each other. I guess he chose to ignore it, so I said one last thing to him.

“Goodbye William.” Then I crossed the territory line feeling my mind link close for good.

It’s been about an hour since I crossed our territory and I have no idea where I am. I’ve been cautiously walking around not worrying about my old pack. I can’t smell anything other than the natural forest around me. I can hear the leaves rustle from the squirrels running through them, the birds nesting, and the foxes finding their dinner and feeding their pups. I walk a little bit more till I come upon a light scent of a stream and start to follow it. 

Turns out the stream wasn’t that far away, I dropped my backpack by a near rock and started lapping up some of the cool water. Mmmh, nothing like a good fresh drink of water. I start to walk into the water to get my fur nice and clean. Once I’m deep enough I shift into my human form and start to swim around, relaxing my muscles from being in wolf form for so long. I run my fingers through my hair and down my body to get the grim off. Once that’s done I look around to make sure no one is looking and run towards my backpack to change into the extra clothes I brought. 

I sit beside the rock and lean my back against it and closing my eyes. It feels nice not hearing anything in my mind at the moment. My wolf is pretty proud that we left, only because she says we are special and we shouldn’t be getting hurt.

‘It’s true…’ she states.

‘What’s so special about us?’ I asked with a hint of annoyance.

‘Soon you will know, we just have to find someone worthy of us.’ 

‘Yeah well if mom was still here I wouldn’t have had to leave.’ I answered with tears welling up in my eyes.

‘That’s true but I’m glad we’re doing something about it now, even if Will doesn’t want us.’ She whimpered softly.

‘I’ll get us somewhere special. Don’t worry. Get some rest; I’ll wake you when I need you.’

With that I got comfortable on the soft leaves and falling asleep to the cool night air. I hope I can get us somewhere safe.

“Is she dead?” a soft voice stated.

“No you dipshit, she’s just sleeping.” I heard something that sounded like a smack.

“Well what are we going to do? Tyler will be furious.” The one questioned.

“Well she doesn’t look like a harmful person, why don’t we just wake her up and bring her to Tyler?” the second one stated.

Slowly opening my eyes I saw two boys, one that was about 6’0 with dark black hair that hang in his amazing blue eyes. The other had more boyish features at 5’9 with dirty blonde hair and hazel eyes. They looked like brothers…and they are so attracti- “AHHHHHHHHHH” I screamed jumping up and backing away. My sudden outburst caused the two handsome boys to jump back and scream as well.

“WHO ARE YOU? WHAT ARE YOU DOING STARING AT ME???” I question with panic coming up slowly.

“Hey, hey calm down. We’re not going to hurt you! I’m Damon and this is my brother Stefan. And what are we doing? You’re the one sleeping on pack territory.” The older one said.
