AFTER DROPPING OFF CLAIRE AT HOME, I TEXTED LOUISE, TELLING her about the ‘fun’ she missed out on. We didn’t manage to go to Jason’s because he’d been called abroad by work. So we came home and spent the rest of the week sitting around watching the TV. At least she enjoyed her holiday.

REALLY?! THAT S.O.B. IF I WAS THERE, I WOULD HAVE KILLED HIM

-WELL, U WEREN’T. WE HAD TO FIGHT FOR R LIVES

-U KIDDIN ME? MY COVER WOULD HAVE BEEN BLOWN, I texted back.

-ANYWAYS, I HAVEN’T BEEN ABLE 2CONTACT HER SINCE THE FAIR. CAN U REMEMBER ANYTHING?

-WELL, CU 2MORROW AN’ U CAN TELL ME ‘BOUT IT. MY ARM IS STILL BANDAGED, SO I CAN’T DO MY P.E. LESSON :)

-------------------

The first morning of school after the holidays, I did my usual routine; had breakfast, washed and dressed myself then met Louise at the bus stop to catch the school bus. All that aside, I did have to get up an extra hour early so I could complete my routine. Anyways, all my lessons were the same as always, which were boring as ever. Every teacher was patronising me, treating me like I was some two year old that can’t do anything, because of my injuries. At lunch, I went into the toilet, locked myself in a cubicle and tried to summon Red, even though I didn’t know how to. I shut my eyes and kept repeating her name in my head. It must have been about twenty minutes until she responded.

“Sorry, Reed, I was a bit busy. I was trying to find out some information in the Shadow Realms, so…”

“Shadow Realms? What the hell’s that?” I asked, trying to push back the headache that was approaching from trying to summon Red earlier.

“Well, there are different Realms and Vales which connect every part of the universe. The Shadow Realms contain various demons and evil creatures. Sort of like hell but not the right place. Evil human spirits don’t go there when they die; they go to the Shade Vales, which is another term for Hell which supernaturals call it. The opposite of this is the Light Realms and the Paradiso Vales, heaven for supernaturals like angels and humans with the Human Vale smack bang in the middle. And if there are spirits caught on the Human Vale, then we call them the Ghost Layers.

“Anyways, let me continue before I forget. I found out a little information of a shop in the human world, but they didn’t tell me what it was called, just said it was somewhere in England, that specialises in summonings, charms and specialised information. Turns out they’re twin Nephilim brothers. I’ll tell you later what that means. The name began with a G, but then the little bastard thought he could run off and tell his buddies about me, so I quickly fried him. I don’t know whether they’re here at the moment so do you have any ideas?”

“I can try my aunt’s website to see if they’re listed on there. I’m glad you’re back, though. You’ve been gone for more than a week, and I was getting worried. You just left without saying anything.” I said telepathically.

“Sorry, time is different in the Shadow Realms. I was only there for a few hours, maybe more. So that’s about a week in human time. I should have warned you but didn’t have the time. So how’s the shoulder? If I was still here, I could have fixed it for you. I’m really sorry you’ve had to go through some pain. I’ll try something later.” she said.
