You and him, became my same mistake

I still freshly remember your face. How the sun shone on your rough chin, and the sun rays reflected in your eyes. Your smile shinning onto the lake. The lily pads staring back at you, looking like the most beautiful things a world could ever contain. You were a beautiful sight to me. All the beauty I'll ever see in my life. In that scenery, with every one of nature's beauty, and me. By my side, laughing together. As if we actually knew each other. But when it was all gone, I had to see you again. I longed for those eyes to show me the happiness we once had. So I could see that smile again, and hope for new memories.

But when you appeared before my eyes, you seemed as if you never noticed me. You looked my way. Those eyes ripping through my layers of protection. But you couldn't figure out who I was. You are a loved one to me, but to you, I'm not even a memory, I'm just a fragment of forgotten times.

When I looked into your eyes for the last time, saw the beauty I once saw, I realized I scrapped you the same. I used you to replace the one I once loved, the one I shall forever long. You were just his replacement in my world. I don't know if you ever knew, you knew what I did to you. I hurt you so bad. But I'll never know if you knew, I'll never be able to tell you again. I'll never see your eyes in my life. Now you have finally taken your place in my life.

Should I be happy for you or cry out my eyes like I have when I lost him? Or should I just forget you like you have me? You have scrapped me away, should I do the same?

Now I have learned my lesson, I apologize for what I have done. But I'll never see you again in my life, in my world no matter how many times I apologize my heart out. You'll forever be a replacement for him. And I'll forever be a scrapped fragment of your time.
