It was a cold winter after noon as I wandered lost trying to find my parents the last thing I remember  was them hugging me tight and handed me a locket hearing my mother scream and then seeing darkness approach me. I looked down at it and looked inside of it, it was a picture of my mom, dad and me last winter. And before I closed it a note started to pop out. And it said...

Aphmau, my sweet darling. It has been a great experience with you and we love you very much. It is very hard to do this... But there are rough times approaching and its not safe for you and it breaks our heart that we left you like this and knowing we may never see you again hurts even more. Shadow knights have started to invade again after lady Irene sealed them away and the population of them increases everyday and becomes more and more dangerous if you made it to the safe home just know that we hopefully will be there soon but if you don't or you don't see us we love you and thought of every way to keep you safe even if it meant we never see each other again. If you live through this just know to be strong and the brave girl you are and we'll watch over you no matter what. We love you farther than words can say and hope we'll be together forever and to keep us close to your heart is a locket to get you through rough times.

Those words hit me harder than ever and I clutched the locket tight never wanting to let it go. I put it around my neck and headed off thinking about my family as the sun set.
