Daniel POV

Sam and I left the forest. I prefer the herbivores that she has. They treat me better than her carnivores. Though, some of her other pets treat me better than the herbivores too. Some of them, like the stegosaurus, just look at me like a cow. They just don't care.

"Look I'm sorry they went after, you like that, again," Sam apologized.

"Sam, it's alright. They always go after me. I'm just shocked that I haven't gotten used to it yet. Okay, my time to go to the office is almost upon us. I got to go. Love ya, bye," I kissed her with so much passion, that I could've fainted.

"Bye. Love you too. And wish me luck. I have to spend time with your sister," Sam said, rolling her eyes after I pulled away.

I made a look of disgust.

My sister, Ambers, was the most annoying person  I knew. I hated how she acted like she was better than me. I do admit, that she is better at being a friend that cares for others and she is better at being a shoulder for somebody to cry or lean on, but I'm better at more sports and romantic ideas.

Sam giggled. I looked behind me and saw that Ambers was there. Standing there. She had obviously saw my look of disgust and mocked me. The disgust directed at me. I rolled my eyes and left them alone.

Walking into the office, I had noticed that my dad and the general were discussing the war efforts. The war that was between Northern and Southern Spanish territory. Though I was not ready for war discussions, I listened in anyway.

They were discussing the next move on the Southern camps. There was this one war, a long time ago, and I mean, a LONG time ago, that was called the world war. When I learned of this, I was consumed in the history of how the wars were started. I was also consumed in the Revolutionary war of an area called," United States of America."

I was soon too far to hear my father and the general, so I moved to the breakfast table. Here was where the palace staff places food for my father and I to eat while we work, so we don't get distracted as much. I went to the middle table, holding one of my favorite foods. Donuts. I grabbed a powdered one that has crème in the middle. One of Sam's favorites. In my opinion it is messy, but still very good.

I read the box that it came from. Sam would die if she saw I had this. Her father is kind of a health nut, so she rarely sees a donut, but she stuffs her face when she gets to the palace.

I grabbed a box and took it into my study. My study is next to my father's, but I work on budgets and plans to improve our economy. My father works on all the more complicated problems, like of course, wars, uprisings, invasions, and his favorite, science studies.

I placed the box of Krispy Kreme on my desk and picked up the stack of files in the middle of my desk. I skimmed through the files.

Finance, economy budgets, and my least favorite, education cuts.  They really aren't cuts, just important subjects that the schools think should be doubled or cut completely.

I pick that one up first. I do a pattern and that pattern is doing your least favorite thing first, just to get it out of the way. I place the other files down and grab another crème filled donut. This one isn't powered, but it's glazed.

I look at the frosting and smirk. The crème is a pinkish color. Not only is it Sam's favorite color, but it's the international color. Pink means peace and harmony. Or something like that. Sam and Ambers were the ones that decided to take art lessons, while I chose to focus more on the world's history.

I placed the donut down and skimmed through the education cuts. They were thinking about cutting time from the penmanship programs, and adding some music programs. I knew what they were trying to do and I do agree with the addition of music. Some students that choose to play on instrument, learn to multi-task.

But I frowned, because the reading and writing part of penmanship is very important part of life and it's free to who ever wants to learn it. That was my idea, making it free, so families that couldn't afford schools, could still learn the most necessary parts of our society.

I look at the other programs that aren't exactly necessary for most of the society. The math and science are extremely important because there are plenty of scientist roles and mechanic roles to be played. History is also very important, because then nobody would know what happened in our past, and how we had gotten to this point. History was only half of an hour anyway, the shortest class of them all and is also free. Physical Review is out of the question because then nobody would bother doing anything.

I come to the last conclusion and make it an elective. Students that want to learn music can join an after education program. But they can also learn the music during their extra class. (A/N: extra class is just basically study hall.)

I gracefully write the orders down and place it in the education bin for our education advisors to review and make the changes.

I grab my pink crème donut and begin my other work.
