In a kingdom called Cove lived King Lawrence and his wife, Queen Anne. They ruled the kingdom together and did a wonderful job at it.

Until, they had a child. A princess, with hair as dark as the night sky, eyes like the deep blue sea, and skin light and soft as any baby's skin would be.

The queen then grew very ill. The pain was unbearable for her, as she called out for mercy, for an angel, for someone to take away her headaches and internal pains away.

Only Death gave her the mercy she requested. She passed away the night of her child's birth.

King Lawrence did best as he could to raise his child and rule the kingdom at the same time. But as the princess grew older the king paid less attention to her and even less to his people. In his mind, he still thought he was doing an excellent job.

He resented her and she was quick to realize that. And she knew exactly why.

At a young age the princess did not know how to rule a kingdom, but she knew her father wasn't doing it correctly.

Cove began to fall apart.

Lawrence still thought he was a good King. But the citizens of Cove had a different point of view; so did his own daughter.

The Kingdom of Cove had more crime, more violence, and more people were discourteous to others. Since they thought their King didn't care for his kingdom, there was no point to follow the laws if he won't enforce them.

People began to form riots, mobs, and tried to overthrow the king. But, King Lawrence was still in power. He passed a new law; whoever wanted or wished to rebel against the king, he would execute them the minute his guards would find them.

Lawrence grew evil, depressed, insane maybe. These rumors spread across Cove. Though the princess didn't think of these as rumors, but as the truth.

As she grew older, almost reaching adulthood, the princess continued to watch her father and Cove fall apart. She wanted to save Cove. But she was not at the right age yet to rule a kingdom. Even if she learned from her father's mistakes, that is still not enough to be qualified for a ruler.

The rules were, if the current King and Queen pass away, the heir may take over.

But something needed to be done now.
