Lauren's POV

*cellphone ringing*

I grab my phone off of my bedside table to find a unknown number calling me from Cali. Why is someone from Cali calling, I clicked the answer button.
"Hello?"

"Hello, is this Lauren Davis speaking?"

"Yes, it is. May I ask whom I am speaking to?" I quickly answered back.

"Yes,this is Dr. Andre of the Los Angeles Regional Hospital. I have called to inform you that your parents have been involved in a car crash on their way to the airport, they are in very critical conditions. I believe it would be best if you flew out here, we need someone to make decisions for them as you are the only family member left." He explained.

I sat there frozen from what I just heard, thoughts were racing through my mind. How am I going to make decisions for them? I can barely make my own decisions.

"Ms. Davis?"

"I'm sorry, I was just thinking. I will catch the next flight out there. Thank you for calling me." I hung up and quickly rushed into my little sister's room.
"Maddie come here sweetie, we have to fly out to Cali. Mommy and daddy have been in a wreck and they need us, please pack a small suitcase so we can head out." I said to her in the best way possible.
"Is mommy and daddy going to be okay?" Maddie asked.
"Sweetheart I'm not sure, we will see once we get there. Please hurry." I said.
She nodded her head and ran into her closet. I walked back to my room and grabbed my small carry on suitcase and packed what I needed for the next possible week. I couldn't even think straight now. Oh my gosh I whispered under my breath. I just now remembered that my mother is at least 7 to 8 months pregnant. How is the baby is all I can think about.
Maddie walked into my room with her Disney Princess suitcase by her side.
"I'm ready sissy." She said in the saddest tone.
"So am I, lets get going. The airport is about 45 minutes away." I told her.
"Sissy, I'm scared of planes." Her little eyes started to tear up as she whispered this to me.
"I promise you will be okay, you can listen to your favorite little boyband. What's their name?" I said, even though I knew what their name was. She never shuts up about them.
"OMFG sissy! Did you just ask that! They are One Direction! They hottest boy band ever!!" She exclaimed.
"First off, calm down and second where did you learn OMFG?" I asked her in a serious tone.
"From you sissy!" She spat back at me.
"It's probably best if you never say that again, yeah?" I said worried because I knew mom would not be happy if she heard her say that.
I quickly switched her car seat into my black Range Rover and buckled her in. I quickly sped to the airport, not knowing how long my parents had left.
We arrived at the airport in about 30 minutes. Traffic wasn't that bad. I quickly bought two tickets for the next flight to LA, California. Madelyn and I walked on to the plane and I put away our carry ons and then sit down next to Madelyn. Her bright green eyes looked so tired. "Maddie, why don't you take a nap and I will wake you up when we get there." I softly whispered to her. She nodded and laid her head in my lap and by the time we took off she was fast asleep. I took out my earphones and plugged them in. I listen to some of my music before clicking on to Maddie'a playlist. Of course it was full of One Direction songs. I listen to a few before I realized we were landing. The plane had landed and I woke Maddie up and exited the plane. I quickly called a cab and we headed to the hospital. I paid the driver and thanked him and grabbed Maddie'a hand as I pulled our suitcases in the other. Maddie's on top of mine. I walked to the nurse at the desk.
"I'm here to see Jenna and Martin Davis." I politely told her.
"Room 226, second floor." She stated. I thanked her and headed to the elevator. I let Maddie push the button since she loves doing that. We reached the door of my mom and dads room and I stopped and got on eye level with Maddie. Maddie is only six, how do I explain what she is about to see to her.
"Maddie, mommy and daddy are going to be hooked up to all kinds of machines, with wires hooked up to them. But the machines are what makes mommy and daddy better. Please don't cry okay?" I told her. I asked her not to cry but I know I will.
I reached for the door knob and turned it and open the door.
"Oh my gosh." Is all I had to say as I looked at my mom and dad.

Let me know what you think. Should I keep writing? I know I haven't got to the good part yet. But I will get there if you let me know if it's good or not.

Thanks
