The Phone Call

Chapter 6

"It's up to you Lauren." Nialls word ran over and over in my mind. It was my decision now, all I had to do was pick up the pen and sign my name on the line. I wanted Mason as my own but I didn't know if I wanted him with Niall.
"Okay, I want to be." I smiled as I picked up the pen and sign my name on the line.
"We are now officially the parents of Mason Louis Horan!!" Niall screamed as he picked me up out of my chair and spun me around.
"Let me down Niall!" I yelled. He gently placed me back on the floor.
"Are you not happy that we are parents now?" He looked at me confused.
"Of course I am happy! I just don't know if I am happy that you are the other parent!" I sighed.
"Well if it wasn't for me then Mason wouldn't be yours." He smirked. He was right if it wasn't for him Mason would be Jay and Marks. I knew they would be good parents but I really wanted him as my own.
"What are the paps gonna say when they see you carrying around a baby carrier and me walking beside of you? How are you gonna take care of him on a tour bus? I mean Mason doesn't get out of the hospital for at 2 to 3 weeks. That's only if his lungs fully develop and he gains up to at least 6lbs." I asked Niall. He just stood there, I know he was trying to find an answer to my question.
"I... I don't know yet. But I promise to try! I want to be a good father to him! I don't want to miss anything. He is as much as mine as he is yours. You know that right? You aren't just gonna take him as leave? Right?" Niall asked.
"I don't know, I mean Jay wants Maddie to live with her and she promised her that she would bring her to most of your concerts so she is okay with it. I could always live with her and Mason go with me and then come to the concert she comes to so you can see him." I told him.
"No not happening. I want you and Mason to be at every single concert with me. I know you don't want me trust me I am getting the vibe but that doesn't mean I'm not gonna try to end up in a relationship with you." He screamed.
"Fine! We will just see how it goes then!"I yelled back.
The boys walked in and Zayn had Maddie on his back.
"What's all the screaming and yelling about?" Louis asked.
"Umm I adopted Mason and so did Lauren!" Niall said under his breath.
"Wait, did I just hear you say that you two adopted Mason?" Harry said.
"Yes we did? What's the big deal?" I said with anger.
"Nothing just that Niall as a father those words don't fit together at least not now." Zayn said.
"Well I am a father so get over it." Niall yelled and walked into his room and slammed the door.

Naill's POV

Why can't she just like me? I just want her so bad. She is so sweet, she is adorable. I love every little thing about her. Her smile, her laugh, her big blue eyes, I just love everything about her. I want her, Mason, and I to just be a happy family. I wish the little guy would get better. I'm ready to put him to bed at night and sing him to sleep. I want to crawl into bed right beside of Lauren and wrap my arms around her. I just need to figure out how to get her to realize how much I care about her and how much I want to be with her. She is everything I want and more. I want to marry her one day, I know I do.
*knock on the door*
"Niall, lad can I come in?" Liam said through the door.
"Yeah, I guess." I replied. I just sat there with my face in my hands.
"What's wrong Niall?" Liam asked.
"It's Lauren." I sighed.
"Dude what is your deal with her?" He asked.
"I love her that's my problem." I snapped.
"Then why don't you tell her?" He knocked my arms off of my knees.
"I don't know, I can tell he isn't to fond of me. I mean I know she is happy that I adopted Mason so she could raise him. But I really want her to be my girlfriend. I really do." I confessed.
"Then why dont you get off your lazy ass and going fucking tell her how you feel!" Liam yelled at me.
"Because I know she doesn't like me!!" I screamed.
Liam just looked at me and walked out. I can't believe I just screamed at him, I never have done that. I know I should tell her. Maybe I should? I decided that I should. I walked out of my bedroom and found Lauren standing on the balcony. I opened the glass door and walked out behind her.
"Lauren, can I talk to you?" I whispered. She turned around and she had tears rolling down her face.
"Lauren what's wrong?" I asked as I wiped away her tears with my thumbs.
"I want to make this work. I want what-ts best for Mason. He deserves the best. I want him to know his father. I want to protect him in every way. I just worry about your career. I don't want to screw your career up!" She sobbed. The tears just rolled down her face. I grabbed her and pulled her into my chest. I wrapped my arms around her.
"I promise Lauren, I will make sure I do everything to keep him safe. I will protect you Lauren. Don't worry about my career it will be fine. I care about you and Mason a lot more." I said softly as I comforted her. She pulled back and looked straight into my eyes.
"You care about me?" She asked.
"Of course I care about you Lauren? How do you not see that? I am fucking in love with you! I love everything about you! You mean everything to me." I finally confessed. I crashed my lips onto her.

Lauren's POV
Niall just crashed his lips onto mine. Our lips moved in sync with each other. There was a feeling that I had never felt before when I kissed a guy at some party, this feeling was amazing. It was like I loved him. But I know I don't. At least not now. I still want to make everything work with him and Mason. I pulled away.
"Why did you just do that?" I screamed.
"I'm sorry it just felt right, I had to prove to you that I love you." Niall said softly. I just walked back inside. It was getting late so I figured that it was probably best if I got Maddie and we headed back to our hotel room. Niall followed me inside and sat down on the couch.
"Maddie, I think it's time to go back to the room and get ready for bed?" I told her.
"Why, I don't wanna go, can't I just stay with bubby!?" She whined. It sure didnt take long for her to realize that Louis was her brother now.
"I don't know, I think it's best if you come with me." I said in an dramatic tone.
"Lauren, it's fine if she wants to stay here she can sleep with me." Louis said.
"Please sissy?" She whined.
"Ahh, I guess." I sighed.
"Yay! Sleep over!!" "Liam and Louis yelled in unison.
"Wait Lauren, that means you will have to stay by yourself? You could stay here with me if you want? You should get used to staying with me." Niall smirked.
"Fine I will." I sighed. I actually wanted to sleep right next to Niall. I just didnt want to show my feelings toward him. I don't want to get hurt. That why I don't want a relationship with him. I don't want my first actual boyfriend to hurt me. I just don't.
"I'm gonna go get our stuff for the night." I told the boys. They nodded and started to play duck duck goose with Maddie. They are so good with her. I'm glad Maddie is finally happy. I just wish she could've played this game with my mom and dad and me. But she didnt get the chance. I walked to my room where I got our luggage because I kinda wanted to stay with them from now on. Plus our reservations ends tomorrow. I doubled check to make sure I had everything and didnt leave anything. I walked out the door and went to the boys suite. I knocked on the door and Harry opened it.
"Oh let me help you with those.!" He squealed.
"Thanks." I said.
"How much do two girls need for a overnight party?" Louis giggled.
"Well actually I was wondering if we could stay with you until Friday. Our reservation ends tomorrow and Friday, Jay and Mark are taking is back home to get all of our stuff. That is if that's okay with all of you?" I asked quietly.
"Itsperfectlyfinewithme!" Niall screamed really quick.
"It's fine Lauren you and Maddie are part of the family now!" Liam said. Of course he would say that his the daddy of the crew.
"Thanks guys" I said. Niall walked over and grabbed my bag and took it to his room. Louis grabbed Maddie's Disney Princess suitcase an carried it to his and Liam's room. Once we all joined together we decided to watch a movie. We had to make sure it was appropriate for Maddie, so we picked Despicable Me 2. I sat in the floor on a blanket between Niall and Harry. Zayn was on the other side of Harry. Louis, Liam and Maddie were on the couch. I could tell Maddie was tired, I figured she would be out in no time. The movie started to play and I started to feel my eyes get heavy. I laid my head over on Niall's shoulder and soon I was out. The next thing I know, Niall had picked me up and carried me into our room. I woke up as he laid me down.
"Sorry, I was trying not to wake you." He whispered.
"It's fine I need to put some pjs on any way. " I went to my suitcase ad grabbed a oversized white shirt and some flannel shorts. I slid my bra off and went to the bathroom once Niall had exited. I washed my makeup off and returned to the bedroom to find Niall sitting there with two glasses of tea.
"I thought you might like some so I fixed two cups." Niall said as he handed me a glass.
"I always drink a glass of tea before bed. How'd you know?" I asked.
Niall shrugged. "I don't know, I figured since you are so much like me that you would want a glass of tea before bed."
"We are a lot alike." I giggled.
"You are beautiful without makeup. You sure don't need it." Niall said as he ran his thumbs over my cheeks. I finished my cup of tea and laid down in bed. Niall leaned over and pecked my lips.
"Sweet Dreams beautiful." He whispered to me.
"Goodnight Niall." I smiled and turn over. Niall wrapped his arms around me and I cuddled up to him. I really like the way I fit perfectly in his arms, the way it felt to lay right beside of him. I really wish I could have a relationship with him. I really do.
"I love you Niall." I said under my breath.
