His heart pounded, the words caught in his throat; four words, four syllables, but he couldn't seem to say them. He was thinking to much and Marinette was staring at him; she had noticed his odd behaviour and he couldn't seem to get out a sentence with out stuttering.
"I almost lost you"
Marinette didn't know what to say, he had mentioned in a note that he had left that morning about having a weird dream but that was it. She didn't know what to say, but some part of her warmed at the fact that it seemed that the idea of him loosing her would cause him pain, because he cared so much.
"What do you mean?" she asked her voice almost a whisper, she didn't know what he meant so she asked him. Pro tip.
"I-I had a dream and I can't stand the idea of losing you." Chat Noir said, his voice cracking and vulnerability showing.
Marinette walked up to him, putting a soft hand on his cheek, "My poor chaton, you don't need to worry about that. I'm right here and always will be."
Then she kissed him, not a passionate rushed kiss, but a slow, loving one.
