Chat Noir was protective of his princess and wasn't afraid to show it. Marinette knew this but never thought much of it, she was his friend and that was all she thought of it. They didn't hang out openly but it was known that Marinette was friends with one half of the saving duo of Paris, and it wasn't the female half.

They also weren't officially dating but wore their hearts on their sleeves.

Marinette's crush on Adrien had all but faded into a friendship and she could speak normally around him now, which was a relief to him. She was often asked questions about Chat but waved them off without saying anything, mostly because they were asking her if she knew his identity. Which she did not.

She had absolutely no clue that the boy under the mask was her former crush Adrien.

But it wasn't all just fun and games when rumoured to be dating a superhero, people mocked her for it. Told her she was an attention seeker, that she was using him or he was using her. It didn't bother her often but today she was just having a bad day and was on the verge of having a break down. She wasn't sure if she was going to cry, scream or get violent. Possibly all three.

So to avoid this happening, Marinette was sitting at her table with her headphones in and her nose in a book. The universal signs of 'Don't talk to me/I don't want to be bothered', but did Chloé know this? Apparently not because she choose just this peachy moment to come up to Mari about Chat.

Slandering up to Marinette's table, she slammed down her perfectly manicured nails on her book, grabbing the raven haired girl's attention, "So I heard you're dating Chat Noir? Why are you even dating that alley cat? I mean he's way out of your league, even though he's below mine."

Taking deep breaths through her nose and wiping under her eyes to make sure there wasn't any tears, Marinette picked Chloé's had off her book and placed it on the table, "Not right now Chloe and if you had to know, I'm not dating Chat. He's just a friend." She wasn't completely lying, Chat was just a friend but she still had feelings that friends weren't supposed to have.

What the two girls didn't know was that Adrien had been listening the whole time, well there isn't much to listen to but he had been secretly watching Marinette because of all the attention that Chat was getting her. He wanted to be there if she ever needed help or people ever started getting physical.

Out of everything she could of done, Chloé just laughed, she laughed like Marinette and Chat being friends was the best joke she ever heard. "Just a friend? So you've asked him out already but he turned you down and said you can still be friends? This is the best thing I've heard all week, Chat Noir is using you!"

This bothered Adrien, more than he cared to admit, and to hear another person accusing Marinette or him of using each other, he broke in a way too. Getting up from his table where he was watching Marinette, he went to the bathroom and transformed into Chat Noir. Exiting the bathroom and casually walking into the library and swinging an arm around Mari, he leaned down and kissed her cheek.

"Hello Princess, how are you today?" he asked sit-in himself in a chair next to his Princess. Looking up at Chloé he pretended to not know her well, "Are you a friend of my Princess?"

Grunting, the blonde threw her hair over her shoulder before walking away from the Superhero and raven haired girl.

A/N: I wrote this when I was tired AF so I apologise right now. Other than that I still had a tough time with this theme but I have an idea for tomorrows so hopefully that goes better! See you tomorrow!
