Danielle gasped as she looked around. It was literally black and she couldn't see anything. She could hear people screaming, though, and the wind started to blow a little harder. Her heart started to beat faster as she was wondering what happened.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" A voice was suddenly heard. Danielle heaved a sigh. She was relieved when she heard the familiar voice that she knew. It was the sound of Mr. Dante.
"Please be patient and do not fear! Please stay where you are with the crowds and do not go anywhere else. There has been a black out and it should start again in any minute. Please have a talk with the person next to you and please help each other to light up the situation.
"I'm terribly sorry for this incident, but the light should be on again soon. If you have candles, lighters, flashlights, or whatever that might help, please turn them on to reduce the darkness. I will find a way to light the electricity again. Once again, I'm terribly sorry."
Danielle looked around. She could see that there was light, one by one, from down under. She soon regretted that she wanted to enjoy the view all by herself without Craig. She grabbed her phone from her purse, but the ferris wheel started to shake. She gasped and she held on to the bar in front of her. She heard some gasping and little screams, so she knew something must be going on.
The ferris wheel started to shake again, this time, it was harder. She grabbed the bar harder and she looked around. The ferris wheel shook harder and all of the sudden, a loud sound of cracking was heard. A few people started to scream. Danielle's heart was full of horror. She was scared, but she stayed silent. She took out her phone and texted Beth.
Beth, I'm not with Craig. Sent.
Danielle shook her head. Why would she say that? Why didn't she tell her that she's okay? Her heart was starting to racing. An envelope icon popped up on Danielle's screen. She tapped it and saw a text from Beth.
WHAT? Okay, stay where u r. Evrythng's gonna b alright.
Danielle nodded once and took a deep breath. Fright must have overpowered her that she felt a little bit anxious and worried. They should've stick with carousel. All of the sudden, a loud sound was heard again. This time, something terrible also happened. The ferris wheel started to vibrate, and within a few seconds, it started to move!
"Whoa!" Danielle gasped. She was startled. The ferris wheel moved forward, slowly. But it didn't stop. It kept moving forward and Danielle could feel that the ferris wheel was rolling away from its basic structure. She looked back and what she thought was real. She could see the basic structure, where the ferris wheel was supposed to be attached into, was now just a few metal cylinders standing together facing the sky.
The wheel of the ferris wheel kept rolling away and Danielle's carriage started to rotate to near the ground. She could feel that her body was squeezed in fear. She grabbed into the bar really tight that her knuckles started turning white. All of the visitors were screaming as the ferris wheel started to rotate faster.
Danielle's carriage kept rolling and she heard a small thud when her carriage touched the ground. It rolled upward again as soon as it had touched the ground. It was now the carriage in front of her that touched the ground. It kept going on like that for the next few carriages, and it didn't seem like it was going to slow down anytime soon. Danielle could feel her cheeks were burnings and tears were starting to form in her eyes.
She looked around and she could see a few people were running next to the ferris wheel, obvious that they were scared to stop the huge ferris wheel. The ferris wheel kept going on faster that Danielle could feel the wind was no longer blowing her as it was practically slapping her face over and over again.
