Gary saw as his best friend walked up to him.
"You were great on the stage just then."
"Thanks, your speech was great as well."
"Heh, well, a speech on longing could never compete with one of love."
"I don't know about that Linda, I'm sure you could have made a better speech than mine."
Linda's cheeks turned a deep scarlet. She sighed. Gary alway did this to her, his best friend, he was so blunt. Every time he would complement her, not knowing her true feelings.
Gary waved his hands in front of Linda's eyes.
"Linda.... You're doing it again."
Linda, awoken from her fantasy, wiped the drool from her mouth, and quickly adverted her attention.
"Jeez Linda, you always go into that kind of trance when i talk to you. You've been doing that for the last three months, you should see a doctor."
"Yeah" Linda muttered under her breath, "a love doctor."
