Love. Marriage. Moving in. Norma Bates.
Those were nearly about all the main things that were going on both in Alex Romero's mind and life. To others, things would look like they were going too fast, and the whole situation was nothing more than a dire claim for medical insurance to help Norma's own son, Norman.
All in the beginning, that's really what it was. But now, as the days went on where Alex spent more time alone with Norma and even with his own thoughts.... The true connection that was between them was finally apparent and known, which they both knew had been there for months. --* * *
"You crossed over a line, and I'm done."
Many people came and went in his Sheriff's office at work, and the amount of times Alex's office door had been slammed was now uncountable. Though, Norma being there was different. And even though Norma's words angered and continuously bothered him mentally, Alex knew very well that when it came to such a thing as a matter of life or death, some lines needed to be crossed. No matter what the outcome would be.
Talking with Dylan earlier that day to get Norman readmitted into Pineview was also something that needed to be done, again with being no matter the outcome. And again, those efforts to try and get Norma's son back in were futile. Yes, he was going behind her back to Norma's son Dylan, which killed Alex to do... But, he would do anything and everything for the safety of Norman himself, and his mother. Anything for the safety and well being of Alex's wife.

Alex had enough of keeping his distance from Norma, even though she had said it herself that she was done. He was stubborn. He gave it a few hours, and let the dark of the night fall before he made his way back to their--no, now Norma's house, to check with how things were going. To say he was worried--it wasn't even enough.
The roads up to the Bates house were filled with darkly lit streets--and Alex had his eyes fixated forward, watching as the headlights of his car caused the reflective lines on the pavement to shine back to his side mirrors. He got to thinking about how foolish it was that even just a part of White Pine Bay's budget wasn't used to go into such simple things as brighter street lamps. Shaking that thought off of his mind, he continued on driving, using his legal authority by driving over the limited speed that was set for the side streets of the town.
Alex pulled up to the house within only minutes, with his mind still whirling. He couldn't figure out what exactly he was going to say to her, other than that he was extremely sorry and he was only doing it for the safety of Norman's health, and most importantly the safety of Norma. --
He made the turn into the house so fast, that when he got out of his vehicle, he could smell the burnt rubber from his rear tires which caught on the gravel which paved the front of the motel. Alex nearly jumped out of his vehicle and slammed the door behind him, rushing immediately up the stairs to the front door. He had taken in a deep breath before knocking on the door, calling out her name.
"Norma----?".
And again.
"Norma?!"
Still, NO answer.
"Answer the door!".
Alex gave her name one more shout, before he then reached into his pocket to pull out the single house key that he held, which would gain him access to the inside.
He unlocked the door, with him once again slamming it behind him.His eyes darted to quickly look around the foyer, hoping to catch a light being on somewhere downstairs. As he looked around, he got to thinking of how oddly hot the house seemed to be.....
