chapter 4

Walking hand in hand we approached the elevators whilst still keeping some small talk. By this point my hands were starting to sweat a little and my cheeks were already a bright shade of red. Once inside the elevator our chatter slowly stopped but his hand never left mine.

"Sooooo" I say starting to walk out of the elevator and onto their floor.

"It is to the right, room 14-320" Joey said pulling my hand and leading me in the right direction.

"What are you guys planning on filming?" I asked while Joey let go of my hand to grab his room key. "It better be good or else I'm leaving." I laughed.

"Oh it's good." Joey said unlocking the door and walking subtly walking in.
"Ok let's do this guys." He said to the guys inside the room. They then filmed their roast sdk video and I was dying laughing the whole time and happy I had decided to stay and hang around with these losers. They had finished getting all the clips they needed and we're all laying on the bed and floor.
The whole time Kate and I exchanged looks as if this really was happening. Two girls from Orlando, Florida were actually hanging out with YouTube creators as friends.

"Hey Christina come look at this." Joey said patting to a space on the bed next to him. "You're going to die laughing."

"It better be good." I said cheerfully moving to the side of Joey. He turned his phone to show me a viral video and we were both dead with laughter. The others turned and acknowledged us but mostly ignored us.

"Hey what is your Twitter I'm tagging you in this," Joey said typing the search bar.

"It's @bwschristy." I said reaching for his phone and snatching it away to type  in my cringey username. "You better be team follow back." I say joking around. I reached for my phone on my thigh but Joey beat me to it.

"Unlock this right now." He demanded but soon changed his face to large puppy eyes.

"How about no." I say grabbing my phone, unlocking it, and typing in Joey's username. I quickly unfollowed him to make it seem less suspicious but refollowed him right after. "Lmao you tweets are so relatable." I say letting my head sink down into the pillow I was resting on. I was awfully close to Joey's side and the thought of cuddling with Joey made me feel awkward but in a good way.

"Hey we're gonna go down and meet some fans." Josh said, who was followed by the rest of the boys and Kate. "You coming?" He questioned Joey.

"Yeah I will meet you down in like 10 minutes. Where are you going to be hanging?" Joey asked sitting up from the bed.

"Ok, we will be somewhere near that dumb YOUNOW stage." Jonah said grabbing his pass and heading out the door. It was just Joey and I and you could feel the tension in the room. I could feel the tension and I think Joey could too but I wasn't going to make a move. I sat up and readjusted the pillow I was resting up against and almost simultaneous Joey did the same thing. We giggled and sank back down into our original positions except this time Joey was drastically closer to me. I didn't mind the loss of personal space but I did mind the fact that I had no clue how he felt about me. We had only know each other for a day, so either his intentions were someone to bang and drop or he was serious.

"Should you head down soon?" I asked looking up. Our eyes met and butterflies filled my stomach; time seemed to stand still and it felt like we were in some distant land on our own.

"I mean we could chill out here for a little longer, only if you want too." Joey said softly.

"Whatever you want to do." I said with a smile. He started to lean closer to me and my heart was pounding. What do I do? Do I jump in? Make him wait? Dodge it? Get up? Everything was running through my mind. Still sitting next to each other he reached his hand towards my face and pushed some of the tiny strands away from my face. I looked down because I felt as if looking at him would make even more awkward tension. Our faces were inches apart and the only thing I could think about was if it was actually real. Our lips softly touched and fireworks erupted my stomach. It was slow and nice, but something about his kiss made you feel very comforted and not nervous at all. I pulled away and buried my face into his shoulder and couldn't help but giggle.

"Shit sorry if it was too soon." Joey said, also with a laugh, and standing up to head down.

"No it was perfect timing." I said grabbing my bag and reaching for his hand to hold. I don't think I would of  ever thought this would of been how everything would turn out. But hey sometimes things go from a coincidence to fate.
